Vehicle Detail

1977 Chevrolet El Camino Classic. I have owned this truck for 20 years, and have decided it is time to part with it. It is parked at my work so I rarely have a chance to drive it anymore. Probably less than 250 miles in the last 3 years. The engine is a GM Goodwrench 350 2-bolt block which has about 100,000 miles on it. It was already installed when I bought the truck. In the past several years I have installed an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, remanufactured Rochester Quadrajet, new distributor and plugs/wires and a new battery just 1 month ago. It has a K&N air filter, newer radiator, fuel pump, and valve cover gaskets. TH350 transmission works well, but has a pesky leak (a few drops per day). You'll get a few drops on the exhaust manifold, and it burns off (noticeable only after its been parked for a long time). Eibach springs all aound. 2 inch drop in rear, 1-1/2 inches in front. Shocks installed at same time (maybe 15 years ago). Poly bushings around the same time. It also has a cat-back 2-1/2" dual exhaust system with Flowmaster 40's. Sound is deep and loud! Fuel and temp gages don't work. I did replace the fuel sending unit about 5 years ago. AC system was mostly removed. It has some rust damage, mostly at the bottom of the rear fenders, and a little on the bottoms of the doors. I did my best to repair the rust. I did quite a bit of body work (no accident, just rust) and repainting about 18 years ago. The paint is bubbling in those problem areas. 15x8 Ronal Gotti wheels and Dunlop GT Qualifier 245-65R15 tires. Plenty of tread, but the tires are old and beginning to crack. The interior was the last big project. I installed new black carpet, new passenger side floor pan, re-foamed and re-covered the bench seat. The camel color interior panels and headliner were painted gray, and I installed a black dash cover. 6x9 speakers in the door panels. Behind the seat are two 8" woofers and a 75 W amp. The stereo is very loud. New window trim on both doors. Unfortunately, I do believe there is a pinhole leak somewhere in the bed, that leaks into the cabin. I have not found it yet. No water damage yet so there is time to fix it.. All chrome trim pieces are there, and in good condition. I even have some extra pieces. I have also built a set of Hedman Headers with a Smog rake for the EGR system. Ceramic coated. I have never installed them. This truck has been a part of my life for many years, and I have been putting off selling it for maybe 5 of those years. I think it is time, and I hope you love it as much as I have. Please email or call with any questions or if you'd like to see it. Good Luck!
