Vehicle Detail
Very nice 1969 El Camino - Malibu Trim. Car is for someone who wants a nice looking car that they would get in and drive without worry. With a 4 speed automatic - it cruises down the highway without revving hard - and with new tires - has almost no vibration. Very nice car to drive. New interior with leather buckets from a Challenger SRT - new carpet - rattle trap sound deadener - new kick panels with integrated Polk speakers. New Custom Autosound vintage looking radio with aux input for iPod and built in amp. New 3 point belts with GM buckles. Has power brakes with discs in front, new power steering (pump and lines), and a professionally rebuilt 700r4 overdrive transmission with lockup converter. 12 bolt rear. New dual exhaust, new rear Eaton Springs, new KYB shocks all around - new hoses, belts, water pump, battery, alternator. New window trim, mirrors, door handles, wheel opening trim, interior mirror, etc. Tires are new Cooper cobra raised white letters with new Cragar rims. (Gray Eliminator Series) Engine is a strong 350 4 barrel - fairly stock - not a matching number block. Edelbrock intake and Holly carb - HEI ignition - starts right up. Run and drives great. Paint looks good - but not a show car. Some small bubbling at lower edge of quarter. Frame is great as are floors. Did weld in some small patches in floor where pinholes were - cut out and replaced with correct metal. Also - I added a picture of the blue bench seat - it is in great shape and comes with the car if you don't care for the buckets. The interior in the car currently is the bucket seat setup. Important note - if you are over 6' tall - you are going to want to put the bench back in for headroom. Heater core is bypassed - that was my spring project. Yes, it was an air car - but I don't have any of the AC stuff. The data plate indicates it was Glacier Blue with Blue interior - same color it is now.Engine mileage unknown - but has good oil pressure - no blue smoke - or ticking/knocking/etc. Transmission is newly rebuilt and installed - less than 1000 miles. Bumpers are ok - but I would replace them at some point, Cheap and readily available. Nothing wrong with the bench - just liked more comfortable seats.
