Here for sale is a good old 1989 Civic Si, a true Civic Si, unmolested, completely stock, unmodified, original D16 engine and 5 speed manual transmission This car was the lightest of the Si trim cars, it has no AC, no power steering, manual windows, all from the factory This car without these options is the ideal car to run around the track in, stock, or do a power train swap, being the car never had those options put into it, less weight, less to take out The body on this Si is in really good condition, we could only find one rust issue area, this was on the inner, inside drivers side rear wheel well, see attached pics The other notorious rust areas these cars are known for, are not present, rocker panels of this car were under coated from the factory, and or dealer This car runs and drives smoothly, 5 speed transmission has no abnormal sounds when driving, has no grinding when going thru all the gears, up shift and down shift The original D16 motor, SOHC, 16 valve runs strong, with no smoke at start up and acceleration Motor runs right in the temperature range, normal, that it should, when test driven, it did not overheat, radiator had no leaks, and good clean coolant were present in the cooling system The only option this car has, which was standard on all Si models, is the power sun roof, which, does not leak, and opens and closes as it should The interior is in fair to poor condition, seats are all torn, and have been stitched and patched at some point with random cloth material, seat foam is still present, and seats may just need to be recovered All lights work as they should, left and right turn signals, back up lights, horn, front and rear wipers, both could use a new set of blades Car has a newer OEM style exhaust, dual tail pipes, car does have a converter This car has NEVER been modified, completely 100% stock, all drive train is original, and still runs strong This is a hard to find piece, being ORIGINAL, without AC or power steering, and manual windows This car will have to be PICKED UP IN PERSON, no shipping, unless you, the buyer ships it to your destination, a 200.00 deposit will need to be made at the close of the auction within 24 hours of the close of the auction Final Payment can be made VIA Pay Pal on site, cash, or credit card You the buyer, will need to provide proof of legal insurance for the vehicle upon pick up, have a valid drivers license, and will pay tax, tags, title work on site A temporary MARYLAND TAG will be issued onsite at time of pick up If the buyer decides to ship the car, all from above still applies, tax, tags, insurance, because we are a licensed used car dealer in the state of Maryland, this is Maryland Law, does not matter what state you live in, its what state the car was sold to you in Once final payment is made, deal is complete, you will be able to drive this car off our property, but we will alloy the car to be on our property for up to 48 hours, still must be tagged and insured This would make a great little Track Car, or drive it like it is, it still runs and drive like it did when it was new, like a Honda, runs forever if taken care of This car was taken care of mechanically, but for paint and interior, that skill lacked just a bit This sale has a low reserve, after the reserve is met, this little car goes to the highest bidder, so when you make a bid, and you are the highest bidder, the green light, you are committed to purchasing this car BID with confidence, and good luck On Dec-23-14 at 12:39:35 PST, seller added the following information:
