Vehicle Detail

Wow. They don't make them like this anymore. Before you spend $70,000 on a new one (hopefully they got the diesel right this time!) consider this "reborn" beauty. Built Ford tough and ready to take on your biggest jobs. Some of us think this is the best drive train Ford ever offered. This is a low mileage, stout and work ready F350 7.3 diesel, 6 speed manual, 4x4 flat bed dump truck with central hydraulics that won't break the bank. I just finished plowing my third storm with it and I must say, it performs as good as it looks. It has just been through the shop with extensive upgrades and has no deferred maintenance. I found it in Vermont last summer where it was the gentleman's bread and butter. He bought it way back in 2004. He mostly pulled a dump trailer in the warm months and sanded in the winter. So clean it must have had limited salt exposure over its lifetime. He kept it in a heated garaged and rinsed it off after exposure to bad weather. I bought it to maintain my rental properties. It had no plow mounted so I picked up a nice used electric 9' Fisher minute mount plow and bought brand new push plates. After fixing it up I can't justify the investment to keep it. I will just keep contracting out for the sanding of my parking lot. So this one is up for your consideration at no reserve. On a dealer's lot you would expect this to be offered at $22,500 but here you get to set the price and it is being offered exclusively to the ebay community. Auto check report scored a top of the class "87" with no incidents to report. Did I mention only 115,000 miles? Interior and exterior are very nice. You will be proud to show up at any job site in this one. There were stone chips at bottom of doors so that were addressed with flat matte black bed liner spray that extends around the wheel wells for a subtle broad shoulder look. Frame was blasted and treated with POR 15 to protect and keep it looking good. Brakes are fine and stop with no pulsating. Tires are recent and all match. Two recent Interstate batteries provide plenty of cranking power. Lock out hubs turn freely and 4x4 engages easily. The mechanics shop state inspected and went through it front to back. After over $3,000 in new steering stabilizer, tie rods, turbo downpipe, air filter, serpentine belt, cam position sensor, muffler, fluids and filters, wiper blades, boxed front frame she is now ready for another decade or two and lots of miles. I was planning on keeping this for my personal use so I probably went overboard. I told my mechanic to make it ready for another 15 years of use. He recommended boxing the front frame with 1/4" steel before installing the new push plates. He is not only an ace mechanic but an ace welder. So he took the front end apart and wrapped the frame and while he was in there beefed up the radiator support and treated everything with POR 15. Now she is stronger than the day she was born and handles the 9' plow with ease. AM/FM/TAPE, mirrors fold and extend. Power brakes and steering Glass is nice with no cracks or chips. Very light scratch on windshield at top of wiper on passenger side and a few on drivers side window. Seats are firm and supportive. No rips, stains or smells. Paint is deep and glossy. Truck was just detailed. There is a small dimple front bumper. Paint chip in driver's door. No rust issues topside or undercarriage. Rockers, cab corners and fenders are 100%. Bottoms of doors are solid with some evidence of repair on inside bottom of drivers door. Should be fine for years to come. Truck goes down the road just like you would hope with no vibrations, smoke, leaks, knocking, ticking, warning lights or bad habits. Clutch engages smoothly with no chatter. Tranny snicks through all gears effortlessly. Brake control and goose neck hidden hitch. 3.73 gears make cruising comfortable yet tranny has a granny gear if needed. The potent 7.3 turbo diesel make for a powerful combination of smooth torque for all your pushing, pulling and hauling needs. The central hydraulic system was a $10,000 upgrade. Bed goes up lightning fast and I do have a pair of low side boards that will be included. The $5,000 sander is fully controllable from the cab for both chain rate and auger speed. Sander is in fine shape with no rot or rust through. Some 7.3 are tempermental in cold weather. Not this one. Fires right up on the coldest mornings. Does have a plug in heater but I have not even had to use it. Fly in and drive home with the plow in the bed. NH issues temp tags if you need one. Title is clear, clean and in hand for an easy transaction. Since this is a true no reserve auction please refrain from bidding if you have less than a 5 positive feedback rating. I am sure you understand and I thank you in advance for respecting the parameters of my auction. While pre buy inspections are welcomed and encouraged, no deal is final till you see the truck in NH and love it. Otherwise you get a full refund with no hard feelings so you can look for something you like better. Happy bidding.
