On Nov-12-14 at 16:23:46 PST, seller added the following information: This 1998 Mercedes 300 turbo diesel was involved in a collision with a utility pole. It took the hit dead center of the nose destroying the bumper and lower fascia, ac condenser , radiator, radiator fans. Also the grill and hood. The collision appears to have pushed the engine back to where now the valve cover is touching the fire wall. I believe the transmission is good but you cant move gear selector because I believe linkage has moved also. The windshield is cracked but all other glass is fine . Drivers air bag has been deployed all others intact. The rest of the car is in great condition no rust or dents or even dings on any other body panels. Interior is near perfect no rips in any of the seats, good headliner. the doors all open and close as they should. trunk lid and rear bumper perfect. The engine ran good before accident the engine electronics light would come on every once and a while common in these cars. I don't know if it suffered any damage in accident but the car hit hard enough to move the engine! It will not start I believe because the computer knows the airbag has been deployed. I bought the car six months ago for 7000, the lesson learned here don't lend anybody your car! no collision insurance. The car is good for parts but not sure about rebuilding because of the moved drivetrain. Any questions call 508 789 2257 or email etc. Will try to post more Photos .
