Up for auction is my 2002 BMW 330i that I just bought for my daughter in February of this year when she turned 16. This car has a clean car fax and until a few months before we bought it the car spent all of its life in the friendly climate of San Diego, CA. On paper we are the third owners but there is a chance that we are the second as the second transaction on Carfax appears to be the title transfer when the vehicle loan was paid off. Either way this is irrelevant as the vehicle is in great condition and has obviously been well maintained and cared for. Before I purchased the vehicle I took it to a local shop that specializes in German cars and had it fully inspected, there were only a few minor issues and all were corrected. I would have never bought this vehicle for my young daughter if this was not the case. I also had the rear-end, transmission and engine oil replaced by this same shop which only uses the proper synthetic fluids. After purchasing the car I had the windows professionally tinted with a lifetime warranted product, it is just enough to give the car a nice look but not so dark that it makes it hard to see out of at night. I also had a very nice Pioneer in dash stereo installed with a USB port and hands-free Bluetooth so phone calls can be made hands free. The unit I selected was chosen because it is compatible and controlled by the buttons on the steering wheel that controlled the factory unit. I also still have the original factory unit and it is included in the sale. I also replaced all of the brake pads all of the way around the car with lifetime warrantied ceramic pads. The exterior of this car does not have any serious dents or imperfections, there are simply the typical surface scuffs and things that you would expect from a 12 year old car that has not been repainted (but not many). The interior is the same story with the front seats only showing what you would expect out of 12 years of service. There is one area in the corner of the passenger seat where a small amount of the stitching is pulling apart, you could choose to do nothing with this or spend about a $100 at an upholstery shop to have it re-sewn. The front seatbelts are not damaged but need a little help to retract once you take it off so I bought another set here on ebay, they are not installed but will be included with the sale. There is also a piece of wood trip on the passenger side dash and a change compartment that show wear so I purchased replacements here on ebay, they too are not installed but are included in the sale. I am amazed by how tight this car is when you drive it, there is not a single squeak or rattle and the steering is as smooth as most new cars. 109K miles on the drivetrains in these cars is nothing as they typically run for several hundred thousand miles. All of this combined is a testament to German engineering. Having said all of this, the only reason I am selling this car is that a change in my job assignment has created an extra car in our household and this one is the odd man out. Lastly, I have sold many items on here (including a couple of classic cars) and I do not play games, if anything my items are nicer than my descriptions. Good luck and happy bidding.
