1977 BMW 530i Sedan. Three owners (three generations) in same family. The car has been driven infrequently, but continuously since new. Selling because I just purchased a 1995 740iL and have too many cars (6) for two drivers. In 1990 at 75k miles, the automatic transmission was replaced with a 5-speed manual. The air pump and thermal reactors were removed (still have), and factory alloy wheels were installed. I still have the original steel wheels with trim rings and hub caps. Driver's seat is a Scheel-Mann, but still have the original. Has complete factory tool kit, original window sticker, and exhaustive service history. No accidents, body work, or paint work. Mechanical Condition: The A/C does not work, although all the parts are there. The fuel pump rubber mounts need to be replaced. The ignition switch has come apart a couple times, but is currently back together. Gas gauge is sometimes erratic. Pirelli P4 tires are in good condition (8/32). Passed New York State inspection in August. Battery is two years old. At 116k miles replaced resonator, muffler, tie rods, front and rear calipers, rotors, pads, and tires. New rear Bilstein shocks at 122k and fuel pump at 130k. Body Condition: Rust holes in the passenger floor pan, rocker panels, rear of both front fenders, front of left front fender, and trunk. Shock towers, wheel well, and doors look okay. The car was garaged in DE the first 22 years, but the clear coat still failed. Over the last 15 years in NY, the exterior has developed a nice patina of surface rust. Please call Eric at (518) 371-1249 with any questions, or to inspect and test drive.
