Vehicle Detail
For Sale is a two-owner 1976 PORSCHE 912E. This is a rust free Colorado car that has been garaged its entire life. It was last registered in 2002. This car has been a Colorado car all its life and was delivered by Bob Hagestad Porsche-Audi on February 18, 1976. I bought the car and immediately sent it to a local VW/Porsche repair shop in Denver. They cleaned out the gas tank, adjusted the valves and she started immediately. I drove the car home, had it detailed and photographed the car. I've driven many Porsche's and have never felt a smoother 915 transmission in my life. Buttery smooth shifting. The engine has been rebuilt at least once at about 160K and the car currently has about 172,650 miles on it. She does not smoke whatsoever. The Bosch L-Jetronic system is intact and functions perfectly. The air conditioning pump, condenser, belts, pulleys and hardware have been removed and are intact. The electric sunroof works but will need a light adjustment so that the rear of the sunroof panel "ramps up" the last 3-4mm. I have about 2" of books, records and receipts going back decades. I would have no trepidation driving this car cross-country. I am happy to answer any questions whatsoever. Exterior: Body is straight and rust-free. Some of the clear coat is flaking in spots. She deserves a good re-spray. At some point someone appeared to have used the outer rocker panels as a jackpoint and they were bent up slightly. I bent them back with my hand but have two NOS Porsche replacement panels that can be painted and bolted on. Interior: The red dash pad is original and 100% crack free! The front seats appear to have been replaced and/or re-covered at some point. The rear seats, door panels and original carpets are in superb condition. Performance: The engine and transmission are strong and run beautifully. The shifting is buttery smooth with no hint of worn synchro's symptomatic of 915 gear boxes. http://youtu.be/dqRFzSgENeg http://youtu.be/pOTg9THRvGg http://youtu.be/LzIGVqE3gFU
