Land Rover (1982), 88', SWB, 2.25l, petrol, LHD. Selling a classic Series 3 Land Rover in excellent condition. The roof rack was hand made in West Africa.I bought this vehicle is 1999. The vehicle was imported from the UK by the Slovene Government in 1982 ( at the time Yugoslavia) for the main electricity board company and was used as an emergency vehicle for high voltage pylon repairs in remote areas. From what I know it was not used very much and spent much of its time in a warehouse. It was then sold to a local farmer, I then bought it from the farmer.General info: The vehicle is in fantastic condition considering its 32 years of age! It has been in private storage for the last 10 years and only used on weekends (only in summer) over the last 3 years. It is stored in a dry and warm garage, see photo. The vehicle is completely original except for a more powerful Audi alternator, a larger 95amp/h battery modification and some reinforced side bars at the bottom of the doors.. The vehicle starts perfectly, drives beautifully, pulls well, steers well and brakes are excellent for this type of Land Rover. The tyres are Dunlop SP Major and have around 15000 kms usage. The chassis is in great shape although there are signs of surface rust. All gauges, lights, spot lights, windscreen wipers/water jets are in full working order. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY: PLEASE NOTE: The vehicle is registered as an Old Timer and is over 32 years of age, hence it does have a number of dents, scratches, rear seat rips, flaking paint in certain areas, some minor rust in parts and unknown dents and divets. It is also missing 2 rear folding seats. They were worn beyond repair. I do however have the frames and folding leg parts to built new ones if need be. There is also damage to the rear door lock mechasim and an improvised bar locking mechanism put in place when on expedition in Africa. The rear door lining is also in poor shape but can be repaired or a new one bought. Roof and interior lining is all original but does have some rips and tears and discolouration in parts.This is not a fully restored vehicle. This vehicle is being sold in good faith and in "seen as condition" and I will give what ever further information on the history and maintenance so as to give an accurate and honest review of the Series 3. Other: I am also giving away various spare parts (value around 400 euros/550 dollars) plus all my maintenance books ( original parts manual, original workshop manual, Hayne's manual plus a few others).
