Adirondack Plaza Home of the all no reserve auctions The good The bad and The ugly The Good This truck always runs and gets the job done. It's a work truck and it serves the purpose from hauling trailers to going off road in the Adirondacks. In the three plus years I have had it it's never let me down. Dead of winter when my daily driver didn't start I could go to this truck after sitting for weeks and it would always start. No check engine light so it passes the emissions portion of a NYS inspection. Once warmed up the engine runs smooth and strong. Transmission shifts flawlessly and 4X4 works great in all ranges. All lights and accessories work fine. Truck drives smooth and straight. Handles and feels great at highway speeds. The Bad I'll start by saying that it needs at least two tires for inspection. The actual brake condition is somewhat unknown although it stops well with no grinding or other noises but the ABS light is on indicating a faulty hub sensor. (not an inspection item or difficult fix) A/C does not work. (bad pressure line) Small leak in a transmission cooling line near the radiator. (Wasn't an issue for me because I never ran it long trips. Loses a quart in about 150 miles) Could probably use a new set of plug wires. after sitting a while when it's been damp out the engine sometimes misfires a bit until it warms and dries out. There is an exhaust on it but not in the best of condition. (functional but not factory. Converters are there and functioning.)It runs reasonably quiet but could use a manifold "doughnut" on the drivers side to make it really quiet. The 4X4 shifter also works hard due to lack of use. It will shift but you have to pull real hard. Should be easy to free up with some lube and use. Update 11/3/2014: Took it out yesterday and noticed that the heat isn't blowing hot like it used to. (door not opening? Heater core needs flush? not sure. Engine does run good and reaches and holds normal operating temp.) The Ugly The obvious is the damage to the right rear corner of the box.(see pictures) It doesn't effect the tail gate operation so it's pretty much just cosmetic. The box is rusted pretty badly. More so than by looking at the pictures. The floor of the bed is soft in places but the frame seems pretty solid. Although the inside isn't completely bad it isn't great either. It cleans up ok. It's missing the sun visors and some of the seat belts have some dog chewed spots on them. (like that when I got it) They do all function though. Long story short this is being offered as a for parts or repair vehicle sold as is where is. I have given the best description I can and mentioned everything I know about. I wouldn't be selling it if I hadn't acquired another newer truck from a family member. If you want to come look at it contact me for an appointment. All items are for sale locally.
