This one has me baffled… Just traded, here is a 2004 VW GTi coupe’ with a six cylinder motor that purrs and a six speed manual transmission that vibrates somewhere in the drive train and we can’t seem to find out what our problem is. When we bought the car, there was a slight vibration from the drive train and the local mechanic that we use diagnosed it as a bad wheel bearing/axle. The vibration was “slight” but the rest of the car was so nice we decided to make it perfect and replaced two front axles. When finished we took the car for a ride and the vibration was considerably worse so maybe we just wasted $450 for two new axles. We called two other mechanics after the damage was done and one said we might have a bad transmission and the other said that the car has two bad motor mounts and that is the reason for the vibration which makes more sense to me but I have already spent enough money on it so rather than throw good money after having spent the first amount, I decided to sell the car the way it is and simply take my lumps. The car has a perfect running motor, shifts through the six speeds nicely, has good inspection stickers with no warning lights on and I simply don’t know why the vibration is there but we are going to sell it the way it is. The boy is gorgeous with no dents, rust or marks and the original paint is in excellent shape and the car looks great from any angle. The interior is in excellent shape also with no rips or tears in the upholstery, nice carpets, dash and headliner, no burn marks or signs of ever having been smoked in and no bad smells. If you wanted a VW that was way out of the ordinary and know how to diagnose and fix the problem mentioned, here is a very nice car that will be sold as is and with no reserve so thanks for looking and good luck with the auction. They will accommodate all our customers within their normal business hours which are 9-5PM on weekdays and on Saturdays from 9-2PM. You can of course bring your own temp tags if you prefer. It is mandatory that if you need plates you bring with you your drivers license and your insurance card for your present car. Names, addresses and dates must be valid on both items. Wholesale to the Public We are wholesalers in the automobile business since 1949 and the mainstay of our business is to supply other dealers with vehicles that we have either traded or purchased in a wholesale capacity “as-is” with no warranties either expressed or implied. Regarding Liens None of our cars are sold with existing liens on them and all titles are in hand when the cars are sold. Since eBay has decided to include history reports on all the old cars as well as the late models, there are lien records showing up on the reports. All cars have had liens on them at one time or another especially when they were newer. Our cars do not have existing liens. Administrative Fee We have sold over 5000 cars on eBay in the last six years and have never charged any fees. However, the cost of doing business recently has skyrocketed out of sight and we are forced at this time to ask for a nominal $75 fee on top of the price of the car sold and any motor vehicle fees. I truly apologize for this change in policy however the cost of doing business and the increasing number of no show bidders dictates this moderate administrative fee. “Prior to re-conditioning” We test drive our cars prior to offering them for sale on this auction and any faults are disclosed to the best of our ability. We do not run them through a service facility but rely on our experience to tell you what problems they may have. Our prices are generally way below the average retail values listed in the most popular pricing guides so our cars are not detailed or re-conditioned but sold in the same way they were purchased or traded. They are simply washed and put out for sale. You will not find the motors cleaned and you won’t find shiny protectorates such as “Armor-All” on them and the cars will be in their original traded condition. This allows you to buy the car for less money and me to do less work. If you are receptive to buying a car in this fashion, the savings are yours. Because we sell our cars all over the world and in every state, inspections are not guaranteed in any state as each state differs in their requirements so it is virtually impossible for us to guarantee inspection. Options such as power windows, cruise control, air conditioning etc. are not guaranteed however we will do our best to mention any items that are not working. Check engine lights and others will be mentioned if they are showing. We will not under any conditions guarantee the check engine lights or any dash warning lights as if they are on we will disclose this and we do not do a diagnosis to see what it is because they can come on at any time for any number of reasons so these lights are not guaranteed if they come on for you. Our requirements are that the high bidder should pay an immediate deposit of $500 via PayPal upon completion of the auction and the car should be paid in full within 7 days via cashiers check, cash if in person or money order. The deposit can also be made over the phone via MasterCard or Visa; however, payment in full cannot be made with a credit card or PayPal. If payment of the car is not fulfilled within the specified time, the car will be offered for re-sale and feedback will be left accordingly. Let’s not waste each other’s time.
