This is an older restoration. I received this as a graduation gift from my father. It has been garage kept for the last 25 years and has only been started and moved out once. The last time was about 13 years ago, so it has just been sitting. It is a real 242 GTO…not a clone. There are some rust spots around the windshield, bubbling paint by the corners of the doors, couple of paint chips here and there, and a ding in the top of the left rear quarter panel. The convertible top hasn’t been down in a very long time, so i don't even know what shape the hydraulics are in. It also has some small rips near the back. Those are the major things wrong with the exterior....all in all it’s not in too bad of shape for sitting near to 25 years.The engine is a 1968 Pontiac 400. It has a 4brl carb. It does not have a battery, so I could not start it. It ran the last time we moved it, but like I said, that was about 13 years ago.It probably will need all new brakes, drums, lines, and master cylinder. I popped the cap off of it and there is some rust inside. The shifter linkage sticks every once and a while, but nothing that some new bushings won’t take care of.It will need some work to get it road worthy, but nothing that someone who is mechanically inclined can’t handle.The interior is not in bad shape. The leather seats are in good condition. The back seat has some paint overspray from when the car was originally white. Inside the trunk as some surface rust, but it seems solid. I also found that there is a spare wood dash kit and various gaskets and parts.
