Up for sale is a very nice 1974 MGB - GT. This car is originally from California and was driven across country in 2013 to the East Coast. It is a great driver and is very clean and straight. It has the 4 speed overdrive transmission which works well and shifts smoothly. It also has new brakes and a brand new exhaust system. It has been converted to a single 12v battery system and has a new battery. The interior is very clean with no rips or tears on the seats. The dash is nice but does have two small cracks, one on each side. It is covered with a dashmat. All of the gauges look nice. The door panels are in good shape. So is the headliner. The carpet is good but there are a few faded and worn spots. All of the glass is in good shape. All of the windows operate properly. The doors and hatch open and close properly and the locks open and close properly. All of the trim is in nice condition. Some minor scratches and pitting in a few areas. Other then surface rust, the car is solid. It did have a small patch repaired in the drivers foot well at some point in the past. Issues: The previous owner bumped into a barrier in a parking garage and did a small bit of damage to the front bumper, valance and fender. The fender, valance and bumper were replaced. The fender and valance need to be painted to match the rest of the car. Although the car starts right up and runs nicely, it recently began to sputter and miss a bit around 2500-3000 rpms. I was told by a mechanic that the sputtering is likely a burnt valve. It runs very strong and pulls nicely and does not smoke, use oil or leak. The ignition key switch works but does not activate the starter. A push button for the starter has been installed on the console. The exhaust will sometimes vibrate against the floor. It may be an exhaust hanger or a motor mount. It started when the sputtering started recently. The seat belts are faded and have some fraying. The passenger side mirror is missing. The drivers side sunvisor has a broken tab so it has been removed and will be included with the car.
