My vehicle has only used Mobil 1 Synthetic oil since it was new. I changed the oil every 3500 miles, not the 5000 miles or so that synthetic oil allows you to "get away with". At 100,000 miles I gave the truck a complete change of all the GM wearable parts relating to the suspension. Ball joints, bushings, shocks, and so on. New belts, hoses, wires, plugs, filters and so on. At 105,000 miles the trans cooler, which is made inside the radiator, broke apart. I was pumping trans fluid in the radiator, and coolant in the trans. I bought a new factory radiator, new factory transmission that came with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty and had them installed. 35,000 miles later, the new radiator did the same thing. Factory denied the warranty say it was voided by the coolant getting in the transmission. That gave me a bad taste in my mouth so I took it to a friends transmission shop and he replaced the radiator with a new factory one. He also installed an external transmission cooler so to avoid the previous issues in the future, and rebuilt the transmission. That was 15,000 miles ago. It runs perfect, rides and drives like a dream. I never thought Id ever have this smoothe of a ride from a 4wd veh. It has brought a lot of joy to me and I hate to part with it. Im currently going through a huge construction project and I need to gather up all the cash I can. However, If it doesn't meet my reserve, I wont sell and its no big deal.............
