Vehicle Detail

Although it may not “look” like it, I would trust this Accord to get you safely and problem-free from New York to Los Angeles. In fact, I drove this Accord from St. Louis, MO to Connecticut (near New York City) in March of this year! It didn’t get hot, didn’t leak or even burn oil! Mechanically, this car is a dream. Always starts, always gets me to where I need to go. I have had to rely on this car, for my business of Mobile Notary (where I travel between 7+ counties regularly in the Metro St. Louis area). So although it doesn’t “look” like a car you would trust with your life, it certainly is a car you can put your faith in. If I were not selling it, I would have it re-painted, as that is by far it’s biggest downfall. The car just passed Missouri safety and emissions less than 2 months ago, so it will pass again with no problem. Everything works and there are no mechanical issues (other than what is listed below as MINOR things wrong with it). Don't be alarmed by the title report attached for this listing. It shows title issue as abandoned in 2008. I actually purchased this car in 2008 from my uncle, who owned a service station at that time. It was being serviced for new timing belt, new water pump, & new tires in 2006, and the owner did not pay for the items I just listed. My uncle waited a long time for the owner to come back and pay, but the owner never showed up. So he applied for Lost Title/Abandoned Vehicle Title. I have never had an issue registering it (it's been registered in FL, CT, and MO), and is perfectly fine to register in any State in the U.S. The only MINOR things that are “wrong” with it, currently, are:1) The ABS light is on, due to one of the sensors being defective. Does not affect anything except that an “ABS” yellow light appears on the dash after you start to drive. This light has been on for years, I just never thought it worth it to replace the sensor. But it is an easy fix, if you are someone who can’t stand “caution” lights on your dashboard. 2) Also, I’m pretty sure the A/C system has an extremely small leak, since it seems to need a recharge. In the past 2 weeks I have noticed that it is not blowing freezing cold like it did all summer. It was approximately at this time last year (September 2013) that I installed a new A/C compressor assembly with new clutch, new o-rings, new drier, new expansion valve, and recharged the system.3) Inside the car, the little light behind the temp control unit is out. I have a replacement bulb, but it involves removing the temp control unit from the dash in order to install it. Never really bothered me so I haven’t done it, and don’t intend to. I will include the bulb to whoever buys this car from me. Also, sometimes the cigarette lighter does not work.4) Cruise control does not work5) Power antenna does not go up/down, but has been modified so it can be easily removed, in order to run through carwash Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE In addition to religiously changing the oil (professionally) every 3,000 miles, the following is a timeline of all the major work (at least what I could find receipts/invoices for). Note that I can supply ALL my past receipts, which prove how much I’ve taken care of this car. • 3/3/09 – new master cylinder for brakes, tightened belts• 5/5/09 – replaced inner temp control valve cable, vacuum a/c and recharge (at 115k miles)• 12/5/09 – replace oil cooler seal, fixed oil leak• 1/8/10 – replace ignition dist, replace oil sending unit• 4/13/10 – replace valve cover gasket and seals, replace rear brake pads, replace right front sway bar• 5/28/10 – replace radiator, flush cooling system, • 8/10/10 – replaced idle control valve, replaced vacuum hose• 10/11/10 – replaced fuel filter, lube suspension grommets and bushings• 11/16/10 – replaced transmission with used transmission, new front pump seal kit, replaced front and rear struts• 11/26/10 – 4 wheel alignment• 12/9/10 – new O2 sensor• 2/19/11 – new spark plugs, new ignition wires, new ignition cap and rotor, new valve cover gasket and grommets• 5/28/11 – new rear brake pads, new LR brake caliper (at 155k miles)• 8/24/11 – upper control arm & ball joint assembly• 6/1/12 – replaced connector pins on body control module, replaced power window relay, install washer squirter and add hose and tee• 6/22/12 – new windshield• 9/13/12 – replaced lower intake bypass heater hose• 12/11/12 – replaced timing belt and water pump, new valve cover gasket set w/ spark plug grommets (at 178k miles)• 5/9/13 – new fuel pump main relay• 8/26/13 – new a/c compressor assembly with new clutch, new o-rings, new drier, new expansion valve, recharged a/c• 1/2/14 – replaced upper radiator hose, pressure tested, bleed system• 1/31/14 – replaced transmission with a used transmission, new cv shaft assembly• 2/18/14 – 2 new tires• 7/2/14 – new stainless steel header, exhaust, high flow catalytic converter, cat-back exhaust, 3” intake pipe and high-flow filter• 7/22/14 – replaced internal shift solenoid in transmission (had D4 flashing light when it tried to go to overdrive, new solenoid fixed the problem, shifts perfectly and strong now) The above is what I have receipts for. I feel there may be some other work done in between that I cannot find receipts for. I can check with my mechanic to see if I’m missing anything major. I have many more receipts than what is listed above, but I didn’t want to type out everything. I will include copies to buyer. I will personally deliver this car to any buyer within 150 miles of St. Louis, MO 63109 after receiving full payment. Car can be test driven before final purchase, please contact me for details.
