* CAR RELISTED DUE TO NON PAYING BIDDER. * Please, if you don't intend on paying for the car, don't bid. If you have any other questions or comments regarding the auction or car, message me prior to auction close. ************************************************************* Hi, You are bidding on a beautiful bicentennial 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. This coupe is in amazing condition and has had many new parts installed over the last few months. All lights and wipers work. Transmission shifts strong, engine starts and stops without a problem. Car has a strong powerful pick up to it and idles like a cat. It's quiet and all power windows and locks work. I recently took this car on a 5+ plus trip from Southern Kentucky to Northern Indiana and back without a problem. Took several back roads and listened to the radio the whole way with the top down. Amazing feeling crusing in this Detroit Classic. The brakes are nice and tight, responsive. Not soft or leaking. Steering and suspension is great. Floats down the road, a real eye catcher. I've taken this car to several car shows and have used it in several promotional events. This car will be featured in a new comic book series related to a feature film that came out last year called, PAPERCUT 2 (2013). This car will be driven by a villain in the comic book, I'm a local artist and moviemaker from Kentucky. I've had a movie I worked on premiere on the SyFy channel last month. And was in Chicago during filming of Micheal Bay's Transformers 3. I have taken great care of this car and have done lots of work to it since I have had it. Here is a list of items that I have bought for the car or have installed over the past year. I have photos of the restoration and have all receipts for repairs and service to the car. It's had a regular tune up and oil change every 3,000 miles. This car has only 17,000 miles on it. When I bought it, it had 14,000 miles on it. ************************************************************* PROS: 1. Brand new convertible cloth top and rear glass! 2. Brand new dashboard and steering wheel. No cracks, no fading. Perfect. 3. New exhaust system and muffler. 4. New alternator. 5. New battery. 6. New headlights and plastic adjestment screws. 7. New air filter. Recent oil change and filter put in. 8. New tires, the spare in the trunk is only a month old. 9. Brand New aftermarket radio and brand new 4 speakers! Aftermarket radio features digital displays, FM/AM channels, and AUX inports for ipads, iphones, and other mobile media devices. 10. New convertible top latches. 11. Brand new dash light switch and foot dimmer switch. 12. Comes with both a hard plastic and leather parade boot. To cover the convertible top. 13. Brand new carpet! 14. Comes with a box of spare parts, oil, floor jacks, wrench, and extra trim parts. 15. Brand new paint job! Triple black paint job and pin striping is less then a month old. 16. New bumper filler panels and body trim pieces. ************************************************************* CONS: 1. Car has a small oil leak. I top off the oil every month. 2. Power seats work, but are not hooked up. All the hooks up and harnesses are there, just disconnected.3. AC works, but does not blow cold air.4. Wipers work, but wiper spray nozzle doesn't spray washer fluid. Nozzle might be clogged?5. Brand new carpet has a small hole, less then the size of a quarter, under the center console cupholder.6. The car has cruise control, but when switched on, doesn't activate. 7. Only trim piece/body filler panel missing is the one under the license plate.8. The front drivers seat has a few cracks in the leather (seem seperation and stiching issues, and one rip/hole. The rear seats are almost perfect. The drivers seat has the most wear.9. "Trunk Open" light is lit on the dashboard. The "automatic trunk lock latch" malfunctioned and has been disconnected. The trunk is "CLOSED" but the sensor doesn't read that because the trunk lock latch is disconnected. No wires were cut, just disconnected.*************************************************************This car has been well taken care of and I have all the receipts for repair work on the car. I can help ship and transport the car to the winning bidder. I can even meet the buyer at the airport and have them drive it home. Or can help arrange for shipping and transport of the car. The car is being sold AS IS. There is no warrenty and the car is almost 40 years old. It's in great shape for its age and would make a nice collector car for car shows and sunday evening driving. I have more photos of the car and have videos of it running for those who are interested in seeming them. You will have to message me and I can email them to you.NOTE:This Car is NOT a mint condition museum quality "frame off" climate controlled stored vehicle. This car is priced accordingly and is priced to move. I have all my receipts of work done and they are about $3,000 worth of work. This car did have some minor issues with it before I got it, hence the body work and painting done to it. I think it sat in a barn in it's past life, it's more of a very nice "barn find". Not a climate controlled stored vehicle which belongs in a museum. I'm the 4th owner, as so I am told, and I don't have any documents or papers prior to my ownership of the vehicle. This car needs about $1,000 worth of work to be "complete" in my honest opinion. Getting the AC, seats, and wiper spray working would take nothing to do. The oil leak is the biggest issue and the simplest one, it's probably a $10 gasket or some bolts on the oil pan needing tightened... but that is the biggest and time consuming issue with the car. This car has been a daily driver for the past month and is driven daily on about a 40 minute commute. It's been featured in several local car shows and turns heads everywhere it goes.Happy bidding!
