Up for sale is my 1997 Mercedes Benz S500. This car is somewhat of a rare find as it is truly a CL500, one year prior to Mercedes releasing the CL-class. I am the second owner of the car, being in my possession for the past two years. In two years I have put about 10,000 miles on it, mostly all highway as I only really used the car when traveling out of town. Currently, the car has very low miles at only 79,640 on the clock. I am a car dealer with a hobby of collecting cars. From time to time, I’ll hand pick out cars for my personal collection. I drove literally hundreds of these cars in 98’ and 99’ and have been looking for a fine example since. I came across this particular MB 2 years ago and could not pass it up as it was an extremely low mileage one owner IMMACULATE example of what I was looking for. All that being said, I’m getting to the age where I need to start thinning out my collection, and I just don’t drive the benz as much as I would like. I’d rather see a new MB enthusiast enjoy the car instead of it gathering dust. As stated above, I am the second owner of the car. Mechanically the car is an 11/10. Everything including all the interior electronics work flawlessly with no issues what-so-ever. Cosmetically, the car is as close to perfect without being a museum piece. There are a hand full of little dings or scratches primarily found on the bumpers, nothing major at all. There are no cracks on the wood grain in the interior. I can provide pictures of these imperfections upon request. The car is completely stock, with nothing aftermarket. Great rubber with plenty of life left. I also have BRAND NEW OEM MB factory floor mats in the car that have been “used” less than 5 times. You cannot buy these mats. When I bought these from Mercedes, they were one of three sets in the United States. To find a new OEM set now, you must special order from Germany and play the waiting game. The car also has the original owner’s manual, factory MB phone in center console, and a spare set of keys with FOB. Car has a clean Carfax and was meticulously maintained by both the original owner and myself. I have tried my best to include as many descriptive pictures as possible.
