Vehicle Detail
Car was Built by a friend of mine who at the time was a member of the Throttler's CC in Salt Lake City, UT. It was built to resemble the cars that raced up and down the Bonneville Salt Flats in the 1940's and 50's. The car is all pre-1941 and would have raced in the B Class in those days. Its been out on the salt during Speed Week many times and has always been driven there not trailered. Great driver and will cruse down the freeway with no problem. It's a absolute blast to drive and gets looks all day! YouTube Video of car can be found at http://youtu.be/5t7TnWmpMZM Or type in "Modified T Salt Flat Racer" * All pictures and video were not edited so what you see is what you get! 1929 Roadster Frame1927 Dodge Cowel with a 1927 Bucket grafed on, Dodges had way more leg rooom thatn the Fords. Im 6'4 and fit great in this car.1941 rearend and front suspension1941 Truck Flathead Ford motor with duel 94's. Old Edmunds intake that was repaired at some point (See weld in picture) I think it gives the car character and back in the 40's you couldnt order one off the internet so welding it up was par for the course. Its running off just the center carb right now.1935 3 speed top loader transmission. Shifts great!1928 Whippet Grill Shell.Steering wheel is 1941Gas talk was built out of a sheet of alluminum and is a work of art! Look great on this car.1930's Wire wheel with Firestone tires. Front-6.00 Rear-7.00Lakester Style headers.Hand built seat back also out of aluminum Any questions feel free to message me and I'll get you my number. I also reserve the right to end auction early due to car being for sale locally. Hot Rod, Rat Rod, Custom, Vintage Race Car, Traditional Hot Rod, Salt Flat Car, Modified T, Track T, Flathead, RoadsterOn Oct-01-14 at 13:19:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Added some more pics of the car. A few on the Salt and also at the Autorama in Utah at the Throttlers CC display. The tag in the picture goes with the car it was on the motor, the motor was rebuilt along time ago by Allstate and they placed these tag on them telling what was done. It goes on the head bolt but was taken off for fear it might fall off, I was just going to rivet it to the fire wall. I have never seen one before! On Oct-02-14 at 07:29:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added what I believe is a very fair Buy it now price due to all the questions regarding how much It would take to end the auction. I believe that this car is easily a mid 20k car with a simple WWII inspired interior, this is something that could be done on the cheap I would also add a passenger side canopy that would finish off that Salt Flat or Dry Lake Racer look. If you want it I would click the button because this car will probably not make it to the end of the auction!
