1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport, Two Door, 4 Wheel Drive, Automatic, Air Conditioning. This vehicle is a mechanics special. It needs a motor, or motor rebuild. I purchased this vehicle with high miles and was hoping to drive it awhile before replacing the motor with a remanufactured one. Would cost $1906.00 The motor spun a bearing before I even finished customizing it and now it's sat for a couple months. The vehicle needs a motor, battery, tires, and the plastic console. I left the oil pan off after finding scored bearings. What I did so far; I replaced the Exhaust including the catalytic converter and all hangers all the way up to the manifold. The brake system is brand new including calipers, rotors, drums, and hoses. The u-joints are new including the front axle ones. All tune up items are new, belts, hoses, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filters, coil. The two rear hatch lift cylinders are new, The transmission fluid and filter was changed, the front and rear differentials have new fluid, additive, and gaskets. The power steering hoses and fluid are new, the oil pan gasket and the valve cover gaskets are new and are the re-useable type. The PCV grommets are new, the thermostat is new, the battery cables are new, the steering damper/shock is new. The underneath was cleaned of dirt and grease from old leaks that were fixed. The body of this Jeep is in excellent condition, very little rust, most of the body underneath can be wiped clean to expose the factory blue paint. The doors do not sag and are not hinge loose. I have all the parts to re-assemble the interior and bottom of engine. I actually have the console, but it looks bad and I was going to replace it. The front wheels are custom and do not ship with the jeep. The front wheels that it will ship with match the back wheels. If you want one of these, and you can do the work, this vehicle is well worth your time, it will last because of the body condition. The right side has a whole bunch of marks and scratches in the paint from driving through thick brush, (before I purchased it) The seats are Cadillac, leather. The seats are the reason for the interior work. I'm out of money for this project, and I won't put a junk yard motor in it for my self, and I won't get my money back if I put one in to sell it. Vehicle is sold as is, where is. You must arrange pick-up, though I can help on this side. Other than the above mentioned items, the rest of the drive line and systems work as they should and it also passed the PA state safety inspection before the engine problem. please e-mail with any questions.
