Vehicle Detail
Looking for a good home for this 1968 GRAND PRIXby Pontiac Please make sure you look at all the pictures I've provided for they tell the story best. 93K original miles. Clear title. 2-door hardtop. The body is solid with mainly surface rust where the paint has scratched or worn away. (see pics) The interior is all original. It's clean and in good shape except for a tear in each armrest (see pic). Burl elm insert for dash and shift console. No leaks anywhere. Headliner is intact and in very good shape. Original carpeting in great shape. Finger touch steering. Disc brakes. 6.6L 400 cu/in V8 (casting #9790071). Automatic transmission w/ T-bar console shift. Original temperature controls, AC & radio. (Yes, they work.) She drives nicely and has amazing pick up. The current carburetor and manifold are not original. She has a double pumper carburetor with an upgraded manifold to accommodate the 4 barrel monster. (We do have the original carburetor and manifold for someone restoring to factory that we will give you if requested.) Brand new tires. Large trunk. I have additional bunch of pictures on a flickr acct so you can all see them. They include the pics of the engine, the Holley carburetor & Edelbrock manifold and the undercarriage. Go to flickr.com/photos/125490318@N06/ I don't know anything about the owners before my dad. Or exactly how many owners it had overall. (I suspect only the original owner and the guy my dad bought it from). We have all the original maintenance receipts for the car. Also have the original bill of sale, I believe. (Not positive, but just a bonus if you purchase the car) If you ARE looking to restore her to her original luster, contact about additional parts we have collected. My dad can no longer continue a restoration project like this. This car is being sold as is. I have done my best to describe the car accurately and with detail. If you find I have left something out or if you have any questions at all, please contact me and I'll find out what you need to know. Serious bidders only please. Please ask all your questions BEFORE you bid to avoid confusion. Deposit required via PayPal within 24 hours of winning auction. Balance to be settled by cash or bank check only upon pick-up. (No personal checks) Winner bidder to make all transportation arrangements for pick-up within 10 business days of auction close. Thanks for looking!
