Offered for sale is a 1980 Triumph TR8 Convertible,with only 29K original miles on it,There was only about 26-2800 of these built, It is a Canley built car with a 1980 rust proofing carried out when new,The original owner was in Alaska, a lady bought it from European Motors in Anchorage,, the second owners family was in California for about 30 years, The car is complete and original except for the following which I have recently installed, New tires on rear and installed newer on front,spare in truck is an original tire on a original rim,New fuel filters, new Oil and Oil Filter, New air filters,Newer rear brakes and cylinders,newer brake hoses, I have not cleaned up engine bay as car has rust proofing on it, but could use a power wash,It has air conditioning but will need service, car needs new soft top, old one will have tears taped up for transport,Comes with 2012/13 battery, original tonneau cover see photos,Interior is in good shape,The car does need some work still, the power steering rack a leak and will need checking into,car has not been used much recently,The paint appears to have had a re-spray and looks good, but car does have a couple of storage chips, scrapes on passenger front wing and very minor dings, please check photos prior to bidding,I am about to start working out of State and do not have enough time to complete project,Car is sold as is where is with no warranty and buyer is to organize and pay for shipping costs,If BIN is used comes with a an original dealer supplied used chrome luggage rack which I have not installed but will be trunk for new owner to install,These cars are going up in value.On Sep-18-14 at 13:34:28 PDT, seller added the following information: BTW I also installed new radio antenna as old one was broken, radio cassette player works with original speakers,Just got my copy of Sports and Exoctic car magazine and one at Mecum auction in PA with 25K miles fetched $13K,I have also decided trunk luggage rack will go with car regardless of price reached.On Sep-18-14 at 13:38:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I have pulled BIN so once reserve is reached car will sell,Thx.On Sep-21-14 at 06:53:26 PDT, seller added the following information: !!!!!!!!!Reserve is very, very close, keep bidding, this could be yours!!!!!!!!!!!!On Sep-21-14 at 17:31:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I HAVE JUST LOWERED RESERVE TO $1 OVER PRESENT BID OF $5200.00THIS IS LESS THAN I HAVE PAID FOR CAR, MATERIALS AND TIME, NOT INCLUDING FEES FOR TITLE ETC,HAPPY BIDDING,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
