For sale is a 68 Mustang convertible that has been in storage for 22 years and rarely driven during that time. This is a totally unmolested and unaltered all original and totally complete 88,000 actual miles car. It has been repainted many many moons ago and thats been it. It is a 289 C code with a three speed stick on the floor. The motor runs fine but should be tuned up with new plugs, points, cap, wires, fluids etc. The motor looks all original including the factory smog system which is super rare to see intact. No wiring has been cut or modified. The car has been stored for so long you would want to do a once over on all mechanical systems anyway before driving it any distance. That's normal procedure for a car like this. The body panels are all original and look pretty solid. There may have been some patchwork done to the quarters way back when but I can't know how much was done unless the paint is stripped. It does not appear to need quarters. The trunk looks nice and solid. From sitting all those years moisture has gotten to the floors and ate at them. They will need to be replaced along with some rust work needed by the right rear torque box and frame kick up area, All the weatherstripping and glass are original and in excellent shape. The interior is beautiful including the carpet and doesn't need anything. It does have rear speakers in the side trim panels. The top looks very nice but has some seam splitting at the rear window. The window is a two piece. The car is still rolling on 14" bias belts white wall tires with it's original hub caps. Pretty cool. This car is a great candidate for either a bone stock numbers matching restoration or to do a high end resto-mod build with all new suspension. brakes, drivetrain etc. Or get it dialed in mechanically and drive it as a time capsule.
