SPECIAL SALE!!!! Triumph Spitfire w/overdrive This is a 1975 Triumph Spitfire, with a few upgrades. A rebuilt overdrive has been put in, and works well. You can see the little silver switch on far left of the dash - that is what activates it. Its very convenient there - right by your left hand. The anemic and trouble prone Zenith Stromberg carburettor has been replaced with a Weber 32/36 DGV, and a header added to improve performance. Car runs, drives, and stops very well. An entirely new custom exhaust has been fitted as well. You can also see there was some undercoating at some point in the car's life; the remnants are visible mostly in the front of the engine compartment. The mileage on the odometer is 14,671. If I can get you to believe that it is the original mileage, great! Otherwise, obviously, there is no telling the mileage on this vehicle. In fact, I purchased a high quality speedometer to replace the one that was in it, which read around 67,000. Again, no telling what that means. Note the original sticker inside the original hood. This hood is not the original hood (bonnet, nosepiece) to the car. It has been replaced with a factory original. The previous owner replaced it because it had gotten dinged up in parking lots. Car has clear Texas title in my name.
