1962 Rambler Ambassador Cross Country 400 Wagon. Second owner, 41,000 original miles. An amazing rare find. California black plate rust free car. Push button automatic transmission, 327 V-8,  Owner originally purchased the car in Chicago Illinois and moved out to California in the early 60's. Everything is original on this car, including paint, interior, chrome and stainless. And yes, the carpet is the original factory shag. Not one speck of rust in this car. Interior is like new, still has original plastic seat covers on front seat, rear seat never sat in. Original 8 track stereo and it still works great!. Owner had the engine rebuilt a few years back to accept modern fuel, get rid of leaks and increase performance. When the engine was rebuilt, the A/C system was removed and completely rebuilt but never put back in. Complete system is show in photos and just needs to be re-installed. All brackets and hardware is included. Original factory window sticker, build sheet and owners manual , see photos. Everything works accept the clock. Runs and drives excellent.  I have all the documentation to show all work done going back to day one. There have been a few scratches and small chips that were touched up over the years. Car comes with a collection of parts and books. many new replacement parts. Here are a few things that were done to the car in recent years. Rebuilt power steering pump, power brake unit and master cylinder,all new brakes and brake hoses all the way around,wheel cylinders, distributor, new shocks, new exhaust, coated gas tank, replaced front end bushings, rebuilt radiator. The Ambassador is the top of the line Rambler, has all the extra trim on body and interior, fold down front and rear seat,  power steering and power brakes, factory A/C, deluxe hub caps not to mention the powerful 327 V-8. The standard plane Jane Rambler Wagon offered a 6 cylinder engine and no power steering, no A/C and no power brakes. Hope this answers your questions, thanks
