Vehicle Detail

For auction is a 1971 Honda serial# CT70HKO-140070. This is a rare 4-speed manual shift, fabulous original survivor. This CT is the more desirable orange and was found in the basement of a co-workers uncle, after years of storage with only 895.8 miles showing on the odometer. It had not been used for many years. The bike was completely disassembled earlier this year and degreased and cleaned using as many of the original components as possible in the reassembly. All replacements parts were supplied exclusively by CHP Motorsports in Whitehouse Texas. Some of the brand new parts are: both tires and tubes rear light lens chrome plug cover one front reflector base the headlight bucket new battery (sealed 6-volt/4.5amp) the entire seat with exact duplicate supplied exclusively by CHP, Includes original under seat tool kit/case. Engine removed, inspected, and new rings and honed cylinder, runs awesome! The original exhaust is on the bike. While the tires are new, the wheels are original and were freshened also. This entire bike is really a great find. All paint as seen in photos is original and as found. While apart the motor was sent to be completely reconditioned, upon disassembly the motor was found to be in excellent condition with all components within specifications, as expected due to the very low miles. The rings were changed since it was apart as well as the cylinder honed. All engine work was done by john@ johnboyandbillymotors.com in Sasser, Ga. They specialize in CT70 engine repairs and did a great and thorough job on this engine. The engine build can be seen on their web site (Jims engine). The engine now looks and runs as new, and the trans and clutch work great, the bike runs and drives as it should. This CT70 was not restored, but cleaned and kept original and is a rare and unique survivor and to find another bike like this is probably unlikely. Despite what ebay has required me to enter in the listing template I do NOT have a title for this bike but I can provide a bill of sale. The bike is located in Fennville, Michigan. I would prefer a local pickup, or if you are somewhere along the route from Chicago to SW Michigan I can meet you on a day I am driving that route, I travel to Chicago every couple months. Or, you can pick it up from me in Fennville, MI. Another shipping option would be if the buyer pays for and makes all shipping arrangements and once I have received full and clear payment then I will pallet or crate the bike and deliver to a shipping terminal within 25 miles of Fennville, MI. For me to pallet, build crating and deliver to the shipping terminal I charge a flat fee of $100 because I have to buy the materials and take the time to build and deliver. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you. Please note that I do NOT have a title for this motorcycle. The listing information above the text description incorrectly states a "clear" title. Please make sure that all bidders understand that there is not a title included in the sale. Thank you. Please also note: The paint on this bike is 100% original and not in perfect condition but it is certainly in very good condition. The paint shows minor scuffs here and there but it is certainly in the top tier of survivor CT70's. This is a show quality survivor, not a restored bike. Please read the listing completely for a more detailed description. I appreciate all of the questions and interest this bike is getting. I never would have thought so many people would be contacting me about it! Thank you, and good luck bidding. On Sep-08-14 at 07:23:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 9/8/2014: It has been brought to my attention by two potential bidders that the exhaust pipe that is on the bike in this auction is from a later 1971-1972 model Honda CT70. I do not know enough history on these bikes to validate that statement but I want to make all bidders aware of what others have told me. Thank you and good luck bidding. I can't believe how many people have contacted me about this bike, I would never have thought it would be so popular!! Thanks.
