For sale is my 2000 BMW M5. After years of loyal service I am selling. This car was my daily driver for many years and has always been adult driven and in the same family. My father purchased new in 2000 at New Century BMW in Alhambra CA. Shortly after that he had heart problems and was unable to drive (shift) the car after open heart surgery. I began driving the car and then and eventually transferred it into my name years after that. The car has 124,000 plus miles on it and has been regularly serviced at the M shop in Eagle Rock, CA. They have all service records. The car runs like a "bat outta hell" but I don't get a chance to use it much more, and as an extra car and a daughter headed to med school, it's time to reduce the toy count. The wear is consistent with a 120k plus mile car. There is pitting in the windshield and some front end chips from desert runs. There is wear on the seats from sitting in them. I know this car was nearly $90,000 new and at the time was said to be "The best sports sedan ever built". This car has reflected that. It hauls like it is new, and is mostly original except for a stainless exhaust system (Britalman) I put on it, and a new cold air intake. The exhaust systems were discontinued but were thought to be of the nicest on the market. I have seen them sell used for $1200. It also had a performance software upgrade. I am guessing it is a 400+ horsepower sedan still by the way it runs. This car has never been hit, or doesn't have any stories. All original panels and paint. What you see is what you get. It will need servicing as it has with me over the past several years. Bushings, brakes and regular oil line checks are standard with these cars. It will need pre-cat 02 sensors soon.
