Vehicle Detail
So hear goes.... I bought this over the winter with the intention of keeping it for a good long time...and started right out doing some mods, and upgrades to make it into the bike I always wanted... now.... having got it to pretty much exactly what I want....I am thinking about selling it...(I have the chance to pick up a 2014 Speed Triple R).... So I love this bike and am kinda not sure I want to sell it...but I am going to put it out there.... and if someone bites, I will get the other bike....if not I will ride the T-Bird forever.... I may change my mind and pull this auction down at any time...so don't wait to bid.... Once someone has bid on the bike.....I will sell it, I will not end the auction once someone has placed a bid..... I work for, and in the the same shop that the Triumph/Castrol/Apex Mfg, AMA Pro sportbikes are built and maintained, and all of the work has been performed by the same pro race team mechanics that maintain the team bikes. I dropped the bike against a post.....and dented the tank, and scraped the paint on it....It was not down...or crashed, the tank took the impact, and the bike never touched the ground...this happened while I was putting it on its side stand, so the bike was not even moving... Bike has Triumph Factory "Off Road Exhaust", installed, also comes with OEM cans... K & N air filter, new last week.... Proper jet kit, installed over this past weekend... Apex Mfg, 4" riser clip ons, also comes with OEM bars and riser/mounts Single seat Café tail, also comes with OEM seat, Triumph Bar End Mirrors....also comes with OEM mirros Rear fender and lights and tag holder has been removed, but comes along with bike... Everything that has been replaced, I have kept the OEM parts, so it can be fully returned to Stock. Suspension was removed from bike and sent out to a Pro Motorcycle Suspension Guru....who did some kind of suspension VooDoo magic, and assured me that it the best suspension possible for this bike, short of buying $2000 worth of aftermarket suspension parts, the stock components have been refreshed, revalved, resprung, fresh oil and seals, all this was completed in May of this year..... I replaced the starter in May also the OEM one was acting up, the OEM starter is a weak point of this bike, so I replaced it with an aftermarket one.... Tubeless tire conversion also done over the winter....can still run tubes if you want to....I have not run tubes since I started riding it in March....and the tires do not loose any air pressure.... last month we took the valve cover off, and checked all the valve clearences, a couple of them were out of spec, so we ordered the proper shims and got them all in spec. replaced the valve cover gasket at that time. Rear brake pads were replace...yesterday....so they are brand new....I also have 2 new sets for the front....that will come with the bike...it doesn't need them yet, Brake fluid was completely flushed and bled in May....coolant was flushed and changed, in June.... Oil will be changed before the new owner picks it up....It has 2k miles on the oil and filter, so I will change it before I sell it....I also have 2 more oil filters to go along with it. Has a Ballistic EVO lightweight battery installed, I put that in new in February.... Tires are Michelin Pilot Power 3's, installed last month, they have about 500 miles on them..... as you can see I have been taking great care of this bike, because I intended on keeping it...... bike is beautiful... and I love it, the most fun I have had riding in years.... I think the bike is beautiful and in very good shape for the year, there is some rust on the chrome wheels, a few surface scratches on the side covers, and fly screen... I ride the bike daily....so although it is a very nice bike it is a daily driver, so it has some scratches, and marks....nothing huge, other that the dent in the tank.... I would like you to look carefully at all the photos, and request more if you need them.....my description may be biased, but photos don't lie..... I have included pics of the tank....I felt a sick feeling in my stomach when the bike started to tip over, and I realized I would not be able to save it.... tank could be fixed and painted for around $300....I have not done it yet, because I drive it daily....and don't want to park it while it gets fixed...if I still have it over the winter, I will have it repaired and repainted.... great bike....the sport has the 17 inch wheels so you actually have your choice of many different tire... the sport model also has the 6 speed transmission. so you are not ringing its neck trying to ride it on the highway... and with the fully adjustable suspension you can get whatever kind of ride feeling out of it you want... please email with questions....BEFORE you bid... bike is located in southeast Michigan....Adrian area.....and, I encourage you to come look at it, and check it out in person.... I can help with shipping...we have motorcycle crates here at the shop, for a small fee....and I could deliver it to the nearest Forward Air terminal, I believe they are the best for shipping bikes....I can also deliver it in my enclosed trailer $$$ based on mileage, or ride it to, you for the price of gas and a plane ticket back... but I will help out however I can.... I will not sell it for less than my opening bid...the opening bid is the least I will take for it....so please don't ask ......I also will not end the auction for less than the buy it now price.... Paypal deposit within 24 hours.....balance in CASH, or postal money orders ONLY....no personal check...no bank checks...no promissory notes from royalty of foreign countries.... bike and title will not leave my physical possession...until I have the cash in my hand...... I will be riding this daily until it sells , so it may have a couple hundred more miles on it by the time you get it.... Clean Title, in my name, in my hand. This is a one time deal.... I will not be relisting it....or lowering the price until it sells....or accepting offers after the auction ends......so if you want it....jump on it now.... these sports are becoming harder to find....and this is a nice one....it was a real nice one before some idiot dropped it and dented the tank....oh wait .... ahh, oh well.... it can be fixed for very reasonable...and will once again be an extra sweet version of this super cool bike.... this is a 7 day auction....if it does not sell within that time frame...I will keep it....no post auction offers.....
