1953 GMC PICKUP TRUCK What an unbelievable survivor pickup truck from 1953. This GMC pickup is one of the best cruise & work trucks that were made in the mid century. Here is one truck that you don't want to miss! It is almost all original to my knowledge. This truck was a new york registered vehicle and came from the Long Island Hampton area. This is a 4 speed truck. 6 Cylinder engine. It was originally owned by a grape farmer who used to transport wine barrels. I purchased it from a friend who bought it from the original owner. His intentional was to restore it , so he started working on it and stopped. It ran perfect for the time he owned it. It DOES NOT RUN now for the reason that it does not have a battery. That is all i know honestly but it could take more work to get her going. Under the engine looks great as you can see in the pics. The tuck also has NO TITLE. My friend told me it was lost several years ago. The body is the real issue on this beauty. It is pretty much covered in surface rust and has some rot holes mainly by the sides. It obviously needs a good cleaning on the inside. Its the perfect truck to cruise around your local town. You can drive it and actually use it and still look cool! Whether you are going to leave it as is and get it running or do a full restoration, don't pass up on this beautiful piece of americana while its on the market. I have had a lot of interest in the truck and turned down all kinds of offers for it ever since I've owned it. I just enjoyed it for the time i owned it and would like to pass it on now.
