Vehicle Detail
Hi, you are viewing a very nice 1963 1/2 Galaxie 500 Fastback lightweight, Nascar, clone/replica. This midyear model was the first real fastback design that proved what a difference that makes when the 63 1/2 Galaxies dominated Nascar the second half of the 1963 season. Although this Galaxie has very glassy attention-getting paint and from 10 feet away it is just beautiful, it does have some flaws here and there like some small dents and some buffed-thru spots, BUT it has NO rust (really!) and NO bubbles (really!) with all original body panels and a very nice underbody, frame and trunkpan. It may not be perfect, but it is an extremely solid rust-free car which in my opinion is the most important thing. NOW, with that being said and I know that all of that matters, BUT what this car is really about is POWER and it has LOTS of it (and the SOUND and the LOOKS that stops people in their tracks). Between the last owner and myself, there is a ton of money spent on this car (MUCH more than I am selling it for) and it hard where to begin, so I will try to keep it reasonably short. The last owner is an engine builder and ,wow, what an engine. Originally the car had a 352 big-block but now has a freshly rebuilt Dual-Quad 390 with 427 marine medium-riser heads and all the goodies that you could want in this big-block engine. When he told me what was done to the engine the list went on and on. It runs VERY strong with no smoke ever (hot or cold) and no strange noises. It is a great engine. It still has the original heavy-duty 3-speed Big Top-loader Trans and is shifted with a Hurst Competition Shifter. It also has a new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and just tons more mechanically. There is a very cool Syntech low-profile side-exhaust system that sounds incredible (Hear the Video). The Tires and Racing Wheels are also all Brand New ! Also, a LOT of new parts like, Brand New Windshield (and seal) and Side Emblems (very expensive) ,new door handles, taillight bezels, working dash-mounted era correct Sun Super Tach, new ignition and headlight switches, better hood springs and etc..etc... The headlights, dash light and turn signals, extra gauges (including factory fuel gauge) all work (speedometer doesn't, needle is broken). The front-end (also freshly aligned), suspension, and brakes all perform beautifully. This Galaxie drives Great ! There are no rattles, squeaks, etc.. But this car is not for beginners. This car really is for experienced car guys (or gals). It is seriously fast. If you want to get into the gas pedal on this car, you really need to have some room ahead of you. It is very, very streetable and, in fact, is an Absolute Blast to drive, Its just not something I would want an average 16 year old to drive. When you take this car out, the attention just NEVER Stops, first because of the unmistakable Sound of Horsepower coming at them and then it has the race car appeal of its Cant Miss This Car Looks !! It is not missed by anyone everywhere you go (when seeing it OR hearing it), and it even stands out at car events in the sea of much more regular sounding and looking older muscle cars. I really don't think it is possible to build or buy a Faster, Better Sounding, Attention-Getting Car than this Galaxie for the money !! This car will put a huge smile on your face everytime you take it out ! I appreciate your reading this and if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask. And PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Serious Offers Only !! Thank You ! P.S. Please check my feedback on a couple of higher priced older cars that I have sold out of my collection here on E-bay the last few years and that will ease any worries as well ! Thanks Again ! I am selling a couple of cars for a real estate transaction.
