Vehicle Detail

Please read the whole ad. This bike needs a repair. The Suzuki GS1100EX is coveted by collectors for its styling and by vintage racers for its performance. Here are some excerpts from Cycle Magazine's review of the GS1100EX: "The GS1100 is the standard yardstick in Superbikes. It was the instant King of Superbikes when introduced, and Suzuki hasn't left its biggie propped up on its laurels. Suzuki has not backed down the 1100. On the contrary, the 1981 bike is even quicker and faster than the 1980 version. The present bike, after being thrashed around on the roads for a 600-mile weekend, went straight to the drag strip and thence ran the quarter-mile in 11.18 seconds at 119.84 mph! (The February bike clocked 11.49 seconds at 116.88 mph.)" Also, "The GS is the most comfortable, best-handling big street bike money can buy; it's ergonomically successful, fitting a variety of rider shapes and sizes as well as any motorcycle in memory; and its engine is tolerant, tractable and docile. What more can you say? King." In other words, it's badass. This one has cafe racer styling with the addition of clip-on bars, a ton-up seat, wire wheels, and near-new high-performance street tires. The tank has been stripped and clear coated. The tank is in immaculate dent-free condition. The engine fires right up and runs like a champ. Unfortunately the chain came off recently and bent the shifter shaft, so the bike doesn't shift. It's a $30 part (search eBay), and the mechanic I talked to in Salt Lake told me that it's a 2-hour job: $120 at the common $60/hour rate. I just have too much going on right now to take care of it. I have the cover, the peg, and all the hardware. These bikes routinely go for $4K or $5K on eBay, and they never look as good as this one. This is a great opportunity to get a screamin' deal on a sought-after collector bike with loads of style. I have the Original Title in hand. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all delivery arrangements. I welcome local pickup as well. Thanks for looking
