1966 Beetle, Hoodride, doesn't really have a category, kind of one of a kind. Patina look, one of a kind paint. I am going to be completely honest and please understand that this bug is very solid, runs great, I commonly take it on 100-200 mile trips at 50-60mph and never had an issue. No noises while driving, rides smooth at 70, I don't drive that fast but it will. I just want to be honest with you so that you are comfortable bidding. Engine is a perfect running, no leaks, single port 1600 (single port heads on dual port '73 1600 engine) Suspension is solid new front ball joints, rear bushings, shocks all 4, front end is store bought narrowed front end with lowered knuckles, sits very low static, have bump stops on frt and rear shocks preventing bottoming out, near 0 travel in front, near 1" travel in rear, but surprisingly it drives very nice. Trans is stock 4 speed shifts out good with no whining or abnormal noises while driving, going into 3rd shift slowly or grinds easy, and 4th you must hold in or it might pop out. Interior is pretty new, carpet, seats, door panels, all new, could use new headliner as current headliner sags and flops. Sunroof cables don't work, but easily slides forward and rear, windows are tight rolling upwards. down is fine. I think all windows except the front are original. Body Condition The body as a whole is completely solid, no creaks no rattles doors fit tight with good gaps. Carefully repaired all sections front to rear the best way possible to preserve patina the car has earned through the years. Here are the condition of all the trouble areas, I will try to provide pics of everything. Rear pans replaced with steel reproduction pans, Front pans good, couple of spots I repaired with fiberglass. Fuel tank new, Front trunk very solid, spare tire bottom was thin repaired with fiberglass. Heater channels good to ok. Replaced shelf behind rear seat above trans. Has one spot of body rust through in front of RR tire not through heat tube just the metal around it. THIS BUG IS VERY SWEET, WINNING AWARDS OVER 20K DOLLAR CARS. EVERYONE STOPS SMILES AND LOVES IT, NOT TO MENTION YOU WILL FEEL COOL AS HELL DRIVING, NOBODY WILL HAVE ANYTHING LIKE IT.
