Vehicle Detail

Okay, so: Let's get down to business! I will remove bids by anyone with less that 10 feedback unless you contact me A.S.A.P. This preserves the auction integrity ( no shills ) and protects me from non-paying bidders. A $300 dollar non-refundable deposit is required as soon as the auction ends! This also helps prevent non-paying bidders from costing me money. I will not tell you the reserve. An unless you are willing to pay a very hefty sum, i am not going to end the auction early. I don't expect an outrageous price; but i will sell drivetrain for parts and put the body on a Chevy S 10 chassis before i "sell it for a song". I like to have fun too! Truck is located here in N.E. Texas and purchaser will need to handle shipping and shipping charges/fees. I will gladly cooperate with shipper or buyer. Truck can sit here for up to 30 days. No more unless we agree prior to end of auction. THE GOOD! This is NOT a show truck, but with minimal expense it could be. I am describing this vehicle without any exaggeration. I may not notice every detail; but i have inspected it fairly thoroughly. Have an open Arkansas title (in my possession) signed by the previous owner. It was last used as a parade advertisement for the local beer distributor. This vehicle has been in the Texas/Arkansas are all of its life. That means it has not been subjected to salt or salt water, ever! Engine was completely rebuilt about fifteen years ago and has less than 300 miles on it. $2500 was spent on the rebuild! I poured Marvel mystery oil in all the cylinders an i was able to turn the engine without too much effort immediately. I did have too cut the belt. It was dried out and was most of the reason i was having trouble turning the engine. Water pump and fan also turn as well as the generator. Mileage is 50,466. Last state inspection was in 1990. Gas tank appears to be solid. I believe it is made of brass. Trans is shifting. Electrical is still 6 volt and most of it is still in tact. Cab lights just below the windshield are in good shape. Headlights are good and chrome is still in good condition. Odometer, amp gauge and chrome dash plate are in tact. One item in the dash (unknown) is missing. Another item in the dash appears damaged. Both the temp gauge and odometer are in tact. Do not claim to know if they still work. Speedo cable is in tact as well. Bumpers are in good condition with one connecting bolt needing replaced. Ah-ooga horn is there but do not know if it works. A horn button has been clamped to the steering column. Can be easily removed if desired. All Glass is near perfect. However passenger door glass is missing. Both window cranks work. Both outside door handles work. Inside door handles are there but do not function. Hood is in great condition. Hood latches need reworked. Truck bed floor has been covered with metal. NO wood. This vehicle shows to have a minimal amount of body putty! The majority is where they covered the seam on the sheet metal installed in the bottom of the truck bed. The frame is in very good condtion. Surface rust only! Floor board wood has been replaced with plywood. Steering works. Trans engage lever is free and moving. All four wheels are turning. Brakes are working. All the fenders are in between good and very good. There are a couple of amateur patches on the inside of the passenger side fenders where they meet with the running board. The interior vinyl and seat (as shown) are in okay condition. Could use some reworking. Radiator is holding water. Have not done a pressure test. Windshield wiper is in tact and free moving. THE NOT SO GOOD: The distributer advance/retard lever is siezed up as well as the choke lever on the steering column. All the tires are toast! 30 Model tire size are 4.75/5.00/5.25/5.50 x 19 bias tires. The majority of rust through is under the seat. It is a spot about two feet wide and eight inches front to back. One windshield slider bracket is broke. The leather cab cover is pulling loose in the back an in need of replacing. Most noticeable signs of rust (as shown) in the botton front cab corners and where the leather cab cover is coming loose. There is a minor amount of rust through on the bottom underneath side of the doors. The front passenger fender has an obvious small rust issue (as shown) where it meets the running board. Although the majority of the fender area on all the fenders is rust and dent free. No Joke! The exhaust was in tact until we unloaded it from the trailer. It caught on the trailer and pulled out of the clamp. I hope i'm in this good condition at 84! It is hard to believe how well preserved this ole jaloopy is. Okay, gents! Let the bidding begin! ;>) Serious bidders can contact me at (903) 490 - 8693. I will gladly answer any questions that I can. On Aug-11-14 at 10:42:49 PDT, seller added the following information: BTW: Yes, the engine #s do match the title! I am not an expert; but it is logical to presume that this is the original engine. On Aug-11-14 at 11:56:25 PDT, seller added the following information: BTW: We just did another inspection and found two things! The inside door handles DO work. The rear brakes are disconnected from the drums and the connector rod on one is missing. Do not know who took them! However the brakes and transmission were redone (clutch is working) about the same time as the engine was rebuilt.
