Up for auction is a nice Datsun Pickup Truck It is a 1971 model 521. It has the stock 1600cc 4 cylinder engine and stock 4 speed transmission . This truck runs and drives well. It is very reliable and starts right up. It has many new parts includingWeber 32/36 carburetorNew brake master cylinderNew voltage regulatorNew alternatorNew ExhaustNew TiresNew battery and cables The truck is originally from Alabama and spent most of its life in the southeast. It was driven to Maryland two years ago from Georgia. The truck was restored a while back and had a new paint job which looks great. There are a few areas where they used some bondo that is starting to crack. The truck is very solid with only minor areas that have a small bit of rust. The front upper corner of the drivers fender and a small spot on one rocker panel. The frame and undercarriage are nice and solid. The bed is also very solid with only a few minor rust spots . The weatherstripping/seals are original and some could use replacement. The steering feels a bit loose and could use updating. The shifter linkage is a bit sloppy and may need new bushings but it shifts into all gears just fine and is quiet. The glass is all good and the doors, hood and tailgate all line up well with decent panel gaps. The windows roll up and down properly but the window winder handle on the passenger door is broken and will need a replacement. The doors open and close properly but the outer handle on the passenger door is broken and will need replacement. The hood emblem is also missing. The dash looks good and has been recovered. There is no stereo. The seat is in good shape and the upholstery on the seats and door panels is not torn or ripped but there are a few stains that will need cleaning. The previous owner rewired the truck and the lights, turn signals, wipers, and heater blower all work. The speedo does not work G . Overall, this is a nice truck that can be driven and enjoyed now.These classic old Datsun trucks are becoming more sought after and the values are climbing.
