Vehicle Detail

This is the real deal. All original Ford body. Built on 10/31/28..that's correct, built on Halloween in 1928 so that makes this a 29 ford. It has a clean clear Oregon title. It is titled as a 1929 Ford Tudor. not a kit car and not as a constructed vehicle. That makes insurance super cheap. The complete floor framing has been replaced with fresh steel. All the exterior panels that had rust have been patched from the back side so it keeps the original rust look from the outside. The rrof has been chopped 4-1/8". any body can do 4", I did a little more! lol I tig welded the top together and left all the welds natural. The firewall was replaced with a 4" set back style. The doors open and close nice with perfect latches. The windshield swings in and out smoothly. After i chopped the top i Bought a complete new wood kit and modified it to work with the top chop. i is a very sound body now. The top has no clothe on it, just the wood bows showing. The body has no glass except for the windshield so this is more of a "fair weather" cruiser. The frame is the original frame that was sandblasted and boxed front to rear. the front cross member was replaced with an aftermarket Cross member. The rear is original. the tranny crossmember is a custom piece that is a "drop out" style that makes it easy to get the tranny in and out.the rear end suspension is a Pete & Jakes four bar set up with Aldan Coil overs. It uses a Ford 8" rear end housing with disc brakes. The calipers are new with stainless steel hoses and a wilwood proportioning valve. The front uses a Super Bell Forged 4" drop axle using Pete & Jakes parallel 4 bar set up with a pete and jake track arm. New Flaming River vega style steering gear and new steering arms. New P&J front drop spindles with Chev style front disc brake rotors and calipers. Motor mounts are P&J along with all the other brackets on the whole car. 4 wheel manual disc brakes with a new corvette master cylinder. All new brake lines hand made to fit and secured to the frame. The transmission is a turbo 350 with a stock torque convertor. It has a new Lokar tall shifter in it with reverse lockout. Custom driveshaft with new u-joints.The engine is a used Chevrolet 350 with an early Chevrolet six pack manifold. It uses Stromberg carbs. the carbs were tuned by Portland Ore. famous speed shop, Schnell Automotive. It runs good and strong. Corvette valve covers. Gear drive. New short water pump. new Mallory ignition with a MSD box under the dash. I hand built the headers from some kit pieces, it uses supertrapp tuneable disc style mufflers. It is somewhat loud and sounds killer. New RV cam was installed. It runs a one wire GM alternator. The battery is under the back seat. the radiator is a new walker unit (very expensive. It uses a manually controlled electric cooling fan. The interior uses a pair of VW vanagon high back bucket seats. mounted good and solid with lap belts. the back seat is a very primative bench made of a steel frame and plywood. the seat back is a custom made 30 gallon fuel tank made of of 1/4" steel with interior baffles. it uses a sight style fuel gauge. no gauge in the dash. The dash is oirginal. using after market gauges to monitor the engines functions, oil water and amps. no speedo installed. The steering column was custom built and uses an original 60's aftermarket glittery steering wheel. very cool!!The inside around the back seat is not a sealed area, it has small areas open to the elements. The wheels are original Ford items form different years. the rear tires are nos 8875 15. the front are new 500 16This beauty runs and drives great and gets looks and thumbs up where ever you go.
