This is the one you want! For sale is my 1986 BMW R65 (650cc) with mono-lever shock, single sided swingarm and great wheels. It has just under 70K, a new clutch last Fall, fresh fluids and everything works. Mechanically it's in excellent condition. It is a sweet running bike and loves to do the Dragon. I've had this bike fourteen years and put 52K on it. I'm nearly 70 years old and just can't do the routine maintenance any more. It comes with the original seat and the Russell Daylong, in photos. Also, it has two windshields. A very rare original BMW windshield and the iconic SAENG, see photos. It also comes with a Clymer's manual. It does have a small dent in the tank from vandals pushing over two bikes. This can be tapped out. The paint is original. The speedometer has been replaced. The old one stopped at 62K and comes with bike. The new one now shows 6K+ but I'm still riding it. This is a classic motorcycle. It will always appreciate. These motors generally get to 150K before they need rings and guide seals. Also, for the years '85-'87 the R65 was built on the R80 frame and body. It's strong, tough and good for two-up. My wife and I add up to about 330 lbs and the original shock works fine. The hard cases are original. They come off easily and they lock. Cash in my hand for a test ride.
