I have for sale my Volkswagen Manx Style Dune Buggy. It is titled and registered in California as a 1963 Volkswagen, but it has IRS rear suspension and a later style Ball Joint front beam. It still wears early California Black and yellow license plates. I am not sure who the original Manufacturer of this Kit was. Please read the following description: Mechanics: It is powered by a great running 1600 Dual Port motor. It has been updated to an alternator and has a new 12 volt battery. Has chrome dress-up kit on motor. IRS trans shifts perfectly with no grinds or popping out of gear. Clutch is new. It has also been upgraded to 4 wheel disc brakes. Has Adj coil overs in rear. It is equipped with an electric fuel pump. This buggy starts, runs, drives and stops great. Accessories: All lights work including turn signals and wipers. Has an AHOOGA horn. Has working speedometer, fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, and voltmeter. Body/ frame/ pan: Not sure when this was built but still looks great. Very shiny, but has some stress cracks in paint from age. Been in California its whole life so no rust. Very solid . Wheels and tires: has a nice set of Chrome reverse wheels with Moon caps and like new aggressive off road tires. (I have never had it off road) Interior: Has front fiberglass buckets on stock VW tracks so they are adjustable. Carpet fair. Back seat is not ripped but shows a little weathering. Glass: Windshield in good shape. NO TOP Conclusion: I am selling a very nice fun little buggy. Ready to hit the dunes, or drive on the street.
