You are bidding on a 1939 first generation Mercury Club Coupe. This is the Mercury Eight - the first model of Ford's Mercury line. It was the only model offered by Mercury until the 1952 model year. The engine is a 95 HP version of the Ford flathead V-8. This Mercury has been "frame off" restored. The engine and transmission were professionally rebuilt. The upholstery has been done and is correct for the car. The tires are new Coker period correct radials. It has been converted to a 12V system with generator. This car is two owners from new and the last owner bought the car in 1956. It has been well maintained and runs and drives great. Mileage is exempt. We are selling this car to the US only and local pickup must be arranged by the buyer. A $500. deposit is due within 48 hours of the winning bid and payment must be arranged within 7 days.
