Vehicle Detail

I am the original owner of this car, which has been driven only 32,633 miles. I own several cars, and, as is obvious, have not used this car frequently. When I do use it, it is a fun car to drive. It runs well, and handles wonderfully. It has been lovingly maintained, as is evident in the pictures. The engine is a German Ford 2.8 liter with Bosch fuel injection. These engines are well known for their reliability. The car does not leak or smoke and the engine is smooth and runs well. This TVR can operate as a closed convertible, open convertible, or as a Targa, due to it’s removable hard roof panel. The car long ago had it’s A/C removed, since I never have used it.There is some color fading to the leather seats. There are also some cracks in the dashboard wood veneer. The carpeting is very good, but not perfect. Overall, though, this interior is very presentable. The power windows work perfectly. The radio/cassette unit (original) has a connection issue regarding speakers, where one speaker sometimes goes off, like there is a loose wire. I have never cared enough to have it fixed. The exterior is in very good condition, with no cracks in the fiberglass body (again, see the pictures). There is absolutely NO chassis rust. The BBS wheels have a small bit of rust on some of the lugs. The convertible top was replaced a few years ago, and the Targa roof panel was recovered at the same time. The doors require lifting slightly for them to close properly. They could be adjusted, if important to you, by an auto body shop. I’ve lived with the idiosyncrasy. The horn has stopped working. I have not sourced if its a connection or fuse problem. Should be a minor fix.IMPORTANT: Does not pass California Smog. This is an emissions issue. It runs perfectly, and most states do not have smog requirements for this age car. This car has always been garaged. I am located 1 hour north of San Francisco.
