I lent my pristine Jeep Cherokee to my step father one winter a few years ago and got it back in the condition that you see in the pictures. I was disheartened and became neglectful of my Jeep. I drive the jeep regularly despite it's numerous cosmetic and mechanical problems, the engine is strong, the transmission is working, and the Jeeps radiator does it's job. What's wrong with the Jeep? The check engine light is on, I don't know why. It came on almost a year ago after getting gas. I've never gotten it checked out. The front right wheel makes noises, a mechanic told me the ball joint needed to replaced. There is rust on the bottom of the doors and where a piece of the plastic bumper was lost. The hood only latches on one side (probably just needs some wd40) The hood popped open while driving and damage the plastic stuff around the windshield wipers (the wipers still work) AC and the Radio do not work. What's right with the Jeep? The starter and the radiator were recently replaced a little over a year ago. There are a lot of newer parts I drive the jeep everyday it never breaks down. The 4 wheel drive works as it should. I believe this is a good jeep to purchase for someone who knows how to fix them, or someone who just wants the parts. The Jeep runs solid, but there are a lot of issues with the car and I'm sure there are even more issues that I don't know about. However I drive the jeep every day, it passed an inspection 8 months ago, and I believe it still has some life left in it. If the winning bidder is within 100 miles I can drive the jeep out to them if they will give me a ride home, or a ride to train station in Boston.
