1970 Porsche 911S Targa. This is a very straight S Targa restoration project that has been off the road and in storage since 1989. This was originally a Tangerine car (blutorange #2310), one of the best early 911 colors. We see lots of early cars and most are something of a disaster. All things considered this looks to be a pretty straightforward project. The gaps, rockers, floors, rear suspension, ect are all very good. It will need a front suspension pan and minor work to the drivers side battery box. The car must have been stored on an incline for some time as the doors are solid with the exception of the rear corners. It looks like moisture was allowed to collect and created some rust, both rear corners will need some work. Apparently, the 69S motor threw a rod. A replacement case was sourced from a 2.7 car and the motor rebuilt. The entire top side of the 69S was retained, the car has its original fan, fan shroud, and MFI. I do not know if the internals are some mix of 69S and 2.7 parts or that the entire block was rebuilt to 2.7RS specs. It has been updated with Carrera tensioners so the work was likely done in the mid to late 1980s. A local viewing is welcome and encouraged with appointment.
