Vehicle Detail

My wifes MDX is in beautiful shape as you can see from the pictures, EXTREMELY clean and is LOADED WITH EVERY OPTION !! ......Bose Premium Sound/Heated leather seats/ Multi disc CD player/Bluetooth/hands free talk/Hands free controls/Navigation/Satellite radio/DVD rear entertainment/Tow package/Heated leather seats/rear A/C /Rain sensing wipers/All weather "WeatherTech" Mats/Front and rear airbags. With it being 8 yrs old it will have the normal wear and tear. The rear bumper is kind of faded, there are small scratches here and their, a pretty good one over the right wheel, small tear in the drivers seat leather, the worst is the transmission doesn't seem to want to act right when cold, but after the first 1-3 miles it shifts 100% My wife has been driving this daily and I would not be afraid to drive this anywhere! however, I will be selling this with a known transmission issue! Like i said....after the first 1-3 miles it shifts great! You can faintly hear the transmission inside the cab, the dealer said it is a (pressure switch) I will start the auction off with no reserve, well below its value of $12,000-$13,000 due to the transmission issue. Everything else works flawlessly!! On Jul-16-14 at 08:48:47 PDT, seller added the following information: ** I have been asked a few times if the MDX is ok to drive home if you win the auction. My answer is YES i do believe it would make it, we still drive it, it shifts fine with no slipping or false neutrals, very strong and smooth shifts after the first 1-3 miles of driving, even after you stop and turn it off to go shopping/eat/ etc... you restart it and it is perfect (with the exception of hearing the slight whine) the only time it seems to act up is after it completely cools down like over night. About once every month or so at start up, it doesnt want to shift out of 3rd gear, all i have to do is just pull over and restart the engine and its fine. Like i said its is rare that this happens. So far the transmission has never left me stranded, but in the event of a failure i got a quote from the Honda dealer, he quoted me a price for a used transmission installed at about $3500 which isn't bad but it looks like you can get a used transmission online shipped for under $1000 and find a reputable shop to install it. I was just quoted $550-$600 to swap transmissions. So in theory if you win the auction for say $8000 and purchase a transmission for $1000 and have it installed for $600 that puts you at $9600 which is still BELOW TRADE IN VALUE!!! of this incredible SUV!!!!! Or if you can live with the whine noise and shifting funny in the morning this transmission could possibly last many more thousands of miles. If you have any questions please just ask!
