1965 Honda CL

1965 (I think) Honda CL77 Scrambler 305 cc very collectable. A great foundation for a restoration or fix up a bit and ride. Engine runs but mostly on one cylinder. Second cylinder will run with some carb cleaning and poss. better routing of fuel line. I do see some oil at the exhaust header of the cylinder that does not like to run. Have no idea of issue--possible broken ring??or valve guide wear?? Bike shifts good and clutch is strong. Bike is wired to run with keyed ignition switch--lights will need to have wiring attention but harness is there. I can email more photos Sunday night if you will send me your email address. Bike for sale is the black scrambler with the silver painted tank. Gas tank does have some dents but is in good shape and can easily be repaired. Front and rear fenders are chrome. Seat is nice but not original. This is a great project bike that can be yours at a reasonable price. Bike is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction if it sells. Located in Clinton, Mississippi on Interstate 20 for easy pick up. Shipping will be full responsibility of buyer but I will work with you for easy pick-up. Seat is nice but not original to the CL77. I believe it was from a Honda 350. Tires hold air fine and are adequate for short, low speed rides. There is age cracking present and both tires would need to be replaced before riding at elevated speeds. Rear brake return spring needs attention. This is a project bike that offers a sound foundation for restoration or for attention to the issues I have described before using bike as a "driver " bike. Engine runs on both cylinders, transmission shifts good, clutch is smooth and strong, new tank badges, new front fork boots, new chain. Tail light is also not original to this bike. Tank has some rust inside but is usable--would be best to do additional cleaning and possibly add an inline fuel filter. The carbs do not have air filters. I am trying to describe this bike as accurately as possible. I want the new owner to know what they are bidding on. It is a GREAT bike with tremendous upward value potential---two CL77s are on Ebay now (0ne just ended). I'm sure you are watching those auctions so you know how desirable these bikes are.
