Vehicle Detail

For sale, due to a career change, and a growing family, it is reluctantly, time For George to move to a new home. This very nice relatively rare 1957 Studebaker President 4 door sedan, with good running 259 Studebaker V-8 and Automatic Transmission. and Power brakes. This is not a concourse car, and it is not purist stock, paint, upholstery, and engine wise. And the bad 289 Studebaker engine, was replaced with a 259. Specifications of the 1956-1957 Studebaker President Classic: Wheelbase, inches: 120.5 Length, inches: 204.8/206.4 (1956/1957) Weight, pounds: 3,270-3,295 The total number of all body style Presidents built in 1957 was 11,747. Nice leather type interior, eye catching Blue and white paint and chrome of the 50s. Stands out from the herd of Chevy and Ford line of clone cars. Paint is good, with a few scrapes here and there, some slight bubbling by chrome in two areas, and at lower left fender, and a small area on lower edge of left rocker, but nothing major. Good solid floors and trunk. Still a very good driver quality paint and has been shown often at local show, quality. Interior is driver nice, comfortable and family friendly. No rips or tears. Glass is all good except Left front and right rear door glass has a crack in them. (see photos) Tires are 85% thread Wide Whites, and a good spare tire, All manuals are included with the car. Except the center badge, and push button, for the trunk handle.vehicle, has all trim, and all four matching hubcaps. Floors and truck are solid, and no known rust. Now for the needs to be done. 1. An amateur mechanic didn't complete the ignition switch replacement, both he and the switch are missing, and I'm not physically able to do the work 2. Front kick panels need new backing panel material, and the covering switched over to it. 3. Missing Trunk handle center badge needs replaced. (picture of bronze colored trunk, is what it should look like) 4 Engine has a small oil leak in the distributor area. 5.Stock radio needs repaired, or replaced with a modern clone like one from vintage radio , com 6. Needs a new battery. Still a great little classic, that can be brought back to cruising the mean streets in family style at little cost, and not a lot of effort. I have described this car to the best of my ability as to it's condition and needed repairs. No warranty is expressed or implied. Shipping or movement of the vehicle is the responsibility of the buyer. I will assist with transporter to the extent possible. Title and car will remain in my possession until all funds are paid. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit due from winning bidder to PayPall account within 48 hours of auction end. I encourage you to inspect or have the vehicle inspected before bidding, and feel free to ask questions. Additional pictures upon request. No i will not reveal the reserve
