Vehicle Detail
So if you’re looking for the perfect show quality 308QV with all the service records from birth then read no further, this is not the car for you. However if you’re like me and don’t care for the American styled 308 and a mostly original European model appeals to you then keep on reading as this may just be the car for you. I’m selling my 1983 European 308QV GTSI vin# ZFFLA13B000044529. I’ve enjoyed the car for a number of years but it’s time to move on. I will attempt to describe in as much detail as possible about what’s good and not so good about the car. I know the value of these cars in this condition with all the service performed and records to prove it but although this car runs and sounds terrific, I realize it’s eventually going to need some work and the price does reflect that. The car is being sold as-is with no implied warranty to US buyers only. I will take lots of pictures to help in the description. I’m also a member of Ferrari –Chat. So here’s the good: • It’s a European model, what else can I say o Small painted bumpers o Ferrari prancing horse in the front grill o Driving lights o More horsepower o Dual vents on the rear deck o No flag mirrors o No diaper o Lighter weight o No rear diaper o Exposed exhaust, better sound o 160mph speedo • Paint looks great at any distance • Only one small dent on the roof • Minor road dings under the bumper • Shifts are smooth • Rear tires bought new last summer, less than 100 miles on them • Front tires are perfect • Space saving spare tire • Some extra parts, belts, computer, mirror etc. • 37K miles (not confirmed) • Billet clutch, brake and gas pedals • New water pump with receipt • Service book • Original leather tool kit, most tools are there but not complete • Original leather jack kit, most of the tools are there • All electrical components work • Brighter dash lamps • User manual The not so good: • Leaks some oil from the shifter seals. Purchased the gaskets which will be included • I’m told the speedometer broke a number of years ago when the car had 30K and the replacement now shows about 9600K but I have no way to verify this other than the great condition of the car • Rear leather trunk cover is ripped around the zipper and the rear engine hatch doesn't stay up • Interior is okay but not mint. The car came with replacement cloth for the removable roof and other rear panels which I will include • Power windows work but are slow, a common problem • Cable for the ebrake broke and was replaced but needs to be connected at the rear • Car originally had air conditioning but the compressor is missing. I’m told everything else is there
