Vehicle Detail
This is a '79 factory short wide big block factory 460 4x4. The engine has been gone through approximately 20,000 miles ago. New mechanical fuel pump feeds a brand new Holley 650, factory heads and ignition, and dual exhaust. Terrie is a new idler pulley by the AC compressor. The AC compressor engages and blows cold, but not cold enough. I am having the AC charged this week. I will update the auction when complete. It has a new radiator, water pump, fan clutch, heater hoses, radiator hoses, and thermostat. It runs 195 degrees in Oklahoma heat. New glass headlights were installed, with twin bulbs. They are HID bright white on brights, and factory original headlights on dim. New brake lights and turn signal assemblies were installed as well. New Rancho shocks and Rancho steering stabilizer, along with a new steering shaft with new borgeson and rag joints. New rods and plastic retainers were installed inside the tailgate, along with new rubber stoppers. The bed has a spray in bedliner, and it extends over the top edge of the bedsides. A handmade rear bumper is bolted on the rear frame rails, and it was coated with a gray spray on bedliner. The two holes in each side can be used for running exhaust out of or installing LED lights wired in as auxiliary back- up lights. A new style trailer plug socket is wired underneath, next to the receiver hitch. The tag has new LED lights on either side. Moving to the cab, the floor has the thick heat blocker barrier glued down, followed by black carpet. Black leather and suede seats and suede headliner were installed. New door handles, armrests, armrest cups, and door panels were installed, along with all new window felts, window weatherstripping and channels, vent window rubber weatherstripping, and door weatherstripping. Kicker speakers were installed in the doors and new larger speaker wire was ran through the factory grommets. These are powered by a Pioneer CD player, AM/FM radio. New three point seat belts were installed. New Grant steering wheel and shifter boot was installed. Dash pad was wrapped, but I am not thrilled with the results. New glovebox was installed. Windshield wipers work, gauges are white face with carbon fibre trim rings. The front bumper started out life as a 1960 Ford truck bumper, and after extensive metal work it is now home to a 42" LED light bar. A new grille shell was purchased and blacked out. The original had too many dings to deal with. Overall, this a pretty nice truck. It starts good, drives good, and stops as well as any 35 year old truck should. It is by new means a perfect truck, and it doesn't drive or handle like a Raptor. It is a factory 460 big block, loud gas drinker, no apologies, head turning ride that combines the best of the old school and some of the new school to make a killer truck. It still needs some detailing, but is far cleaner than most other old school F150s. Let the pictures be your guide. On Jul-02-14 at 16:46:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a ton of questions concerning the vin and codes on this truck.
