This 1971 Honda CB 450 is in very good condition for a 43 year old unrestored machine. It draws a lot of attention wherever I take it - its amazing how many people had one "back in the day". I hate to part with it, but I've had my fun and its time to give someone else a turn. Proceeds are going towards 2 college tuitions - I'm hoping that some day my kids will pay me back with a replacement, but I won't hold my breath on that one! A little about this bike..... Watch Video: http://youtu.be/sz00B4g8GdU History: I am the third owner. The original owner had this bike since it was new until 3 1/2 years ago. The second owner only owned it for a few months before selling it to me 3 years ago. His wife ended his ownership before he put more than a couple of hundred miles on it. It obviously has been kept in great condition by all 3 owners. I have always kept it stored inside, never ridden it in the rain, etc. Condition: There are no mechanical issues with this bike. It starts right up, shifts smoothly, and runs like a charm. It has 16,980 original miles on the working odometer. Paint and chrome look great for a 43 year old machine. Lights all work. Brakes are in good condition, front and rear. Tires are in great condition, and are correct for this model. The seat is in like-new condition, no tears, no signs of wear. Battery is new this Spring. Included are the original Owner's Manual, the original Bill of Sale, the original (and complete) tool kit, and the 1971 temporary registration from when the bike was originally purchased from the dealer. Minor Issues: There are some minor dings here and there, but nothing serious or too obvious. For example - there is minor ding and a small paint chip on tank. Examine the photos - what you see is what you are buying. Front fork gaiters (boots) need replacement - I have new OEM gaiters that I have not installed, and are included. The voltage rectifier needs replacement in order to recharge the battery. I have been using a trickle charger after each ride - minor inconvenience, never had a problem. There is some minor rusting on the underside of the exhaust pipes - not noticeable unless you get on the ground and look under the pipes. This is shown in the pictures. There is no warranty, real or implied. I have described the bike as well as I could, including all known faults. The pictures provided show condition - you judge for yourself.
