What we have up for auction is a 2001 C5 Corvette Convertible. This vehicle was purchased by a friend with hopes of using the chassis under a '56 Chevy that he has had on the back burner for years. Unfortunately some other obligations have arisen and this car would be just sitting so I am marketing it on his behalf. We'll start with the obvious it's a 2001 C5 Convertible. Upon thorough inspection we have found no signs of any previous collision damage. CA clean title. The engine runs rough and it has NOT been diagnosed as it was to be torn down and freshened up before use in his project anyhow. Your guess is as good as mine what the culprit may be it could have a broken valve spring, pushrod or even a piston. The transmission shifts good and feels solid. The clear coat has failed as you can see in the photos. The interior is intact and marginal. The body panels are all in very good condition. This car would be great for someone that has a low mileage Corvette that has suffered collision damage,a person that wants to build a race car, a factory five car or their own custom creation. The possibilities are endless. Please note that I am selling this as a project vehicle not as a turn key daily driver.
