Vehicle Detail

1953 Packard Cavalier 4 door sedan, flat head straight 8 engine runs well. Standard shift with overdrive. True mileage unknown, speedometer has been replaced. This is a rust free Southern car. Floors and trunk are just as when vehicle left factory with no rust or rot. Interior has been recently been redone in correct style and vehicle has been recently repainted in what appears to be correct color. The grille and bumpers have also been redone and is in excellent condition. Other chrome on vehicle is in good condition. Stainless door trim has some door dings. Vehicle has wide white wall tires. Engine starts easy cold or hot. All dash gauges are working. Radio does not work, but power antenna does. Clock does not work. Exterior lights are working. Recent service includes oil and oil filter change and new thermostat. I bought the car out of South Carolina last November and it arrived here early in December and it has been in my garage hooked to a battery tender and covered up. There is a new car cover for the car. I drove it 24 miles from transfer agency to my home at 60 MPH and it ran well. All glass is good. Recent health issues require that I find a new owner. Car is not currently registered. I have a clear South Carolina title for the vehicle. True mileage is unknown as speedometer has been replaced at some time. Currently the speedometer reads 24812. When picked up at transfer agency it read 24788. Vehicle is sold as is. No warranty is expressed or implied. No guarantees. This is a No Reserve Sale. High bid wins. Additional information. I do not have any maintenance records or history of the vehicle. As I said I drove the car 24 miles from West Seneca, NY where the transport agency is to my home in North Tonawanda, NY. The car ran fairly well and had no problems at 60 MPH. It has not been driven since as I previously explained. The vehicle runs off of a 6 volt electric fuel pump. The mechanical pump is there but not hooked up. Some of the heater hoses are disconnected at the firewall. Why?? I don't know. The heater fan works. But, in South Carolina having a functioning heater probably was not a major issue. Remember this is a 61 year old car and there may be issues that show up as in most cases with old cars. NOTE: This vehicle is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early.
