1952 Mercedes 300 Adenauer same owner for 59 years Purchased new in Germany in 1952 then I (James Thompson) bought the car in 1955 while in the military service stationed in Europe. I have owned the car for 59 years. This car runs and drives excellent and is very solid. While I love the car and still use it regularly for club events I am getting on in years and it is time to move houses and downsize. I had the car shipped to the US after the service and I lived in CA till the 70s then moved to Oregon where I reside today. In 1994 I had the car repainted in the original color and motor replaced with a new “Crate” Chevrolet IROC V8. I also had a Cadillac steering colum installed. All new interior completely re-done this year. The car comes with the original motor and tranny. The car shifts smoothly and runs strong. The body panels are all straight. All glass is in great shape. The car starts right up and is ran regularly avoiding long periods of inactivity to keep the components working as they should.
