The car is mechanically sound and in the tradition of Mercedes reliability the engine runs perfectly. The car is really fast and a pleasure to drive. It is visually appealing and in good condition and to the best of my knowledge has never been smoked in. Mercedes-Benz 380 SEC is an automobile that has a 2 door coupé type body styled by Bruno Sacco with a front located engine supplying power to the rear wheels. The Mercedes-Benz 380 SEC belongs to the C 126 range of cars from Mercedes-Benz. Its 3.8 litre engine is a naturally aspirated, single overhead camshaft, 8 cylinder unit that develops 201 bhp (204 PS/150 kW) of power at 5250 rpm, and maximum torque of 315 N·m (232 lb·ft/32.1 kgm) at 3250 rpm. Mercedes produced 12,334 of the 380 SEC coupes. In 1981, there were 945 produced. For the 1982 model-year, production was up to 4,393. A decrease began in 1983 with 3,829 vehicles produced.
